As background, he was one of the guys arrested for the Natalee Holloway murder in Aruba -- but was let go every time because of an apparent lack of evidence.  The guy at whom he throws the wine was a journalist questioning his innocence.  Anybody laying odds on the kid's guilt?

(Edit:  Here's a story that provides more background -- apparently, the journalist has new evidence that will possibly provide answers that have been lacking for the last couple years -- http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2008-01-31-holloway-case_N.htm )

I read that earlier Frank but didn't see the video until now.  My question is:

Were they drinking that new battery acid wine???  The friggin reported acted like his face was melting off.  Gimme a friggin break.

While the odds stack up against the kid that he had something to do with it, and i'm not saying he didn't, if he doesn't, and he's been in the middle of this crap for this many years, and people keep telling you that you are lying, i'm sure i'd be tossing more than wine at people.  Just because he got pissed and showed it, doesn't necessarily mean he's a violent killer either.

Wine in the eyes stings because it has a level of sugar content that makes it both sticky and acedic... can't fault the reporter for being a little unraveled there...

If what you're saying is that it's appropriate to lash out if you're under the microscope for a couple years and can't produce a shred of evidence that gives much backing to your side of the story, then I guess Congress better put up a plastic partition between themselves and Roger Clemens in a couple weeks?!

It seems like Natalee's parents have a little dough.  Can't the Dad just have him wacked/posioned?  As long as the US wouldn't extradite... would they??? A little vigilante justice for a scumbag from a turd country wouldn't be a bad idea.  Just don't do any planning in the US.  Fly somewhere outside the country... hire a pro... done.  A hot woman could get really close w/o arousing any suspicion.

PBR...

these terds obviously know what went down whether intentional or not they know the whole story...pbr agrees w/ JT on this one if none of the jack off's man up and talk.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

The scumbag does have some serious lawyer muscle in Tacopina.  Any new evidence better be tight.

I'm not saying he's innocent, and i'm not saying 'lashing out' is ok, but I understand it.  And as far as 'producing a shred of evidence that gives backing to your story'.......He's not in jail is he?  Looks to me like he doesn't have anything to prove for his innocence.  It's others who have to prove him guilty.

By the way, I found a picture of the reporter 9 minutes and 13 seconds after the wine throwing...

I saw someone mention timeshares a few pages back.  Anyone have one?  A friend of mine goes through REI and its pretty good (he paid $2500 two years ago, and now pays $500 a year for $1500 vacations anywhere)

And another friend of mine went on one of those timeshare weekend where they let you stay for free but you have to listen to their speil for 90 minutes.  He said it was legit.  He paid $59 a night for three nights at the Bethel Inn in Bethel Maine with 2 free meals a day.  And all he had to do was listen to a 90 minute talk and that was it.  He said it was worth it.

good one JT.

tgp has a buddy/co-worker who was once reported to HR by some gal (young kid, straight out of college) b/c he was lighting it up in the office (cube-ville).

the re-enactment of by buddy of his conversation with our HR lady regarding farting in the office still cracks tgp up.  my buddy's boss (one of our managing director's) and he go back to college, so the boss had to try and act like he took it seriously in front of HR while in the meanwhile, he was laughing his azz off with my buddy behind closed doors.

uptight college kid quit a few months later b/c when it got out she complained to HR pretty much the entire dept ridiculed the stupid beee-----.

this one still reigns as the all-time funniest office story of tgp's career.

RE: time shares

TGP and the wife went to the Princeville Resort in Kauai on a great deal ($800 for basically 5 nights for a hotel that normally runs $400-800/day) that had a time share 90 min spiel requirement.

In general, TGP believes time shares are horrible investments.

Only caveat is that you find you want to vacation a particular way each year and have very flexible travel dates (meaning you are willing to put up with the scheduling b.s. most time share co's make you go thru)

KS got written up once while working at Panasonic for excessive gas one afternoon.  The ahole who wrote KS up got canned a few months later.

See it seems that my friend just calls up and asks what they have for a specific week a few months in advance.  And Ive gone twice to real nice places in Florida. (He went to the bahamas and vegas for the other ones)  It always seems to work out for him.  HIs actual place is in New Hampshire where the fee ($500 a year?) is basically a condo/maintence fee.

That actually sounds pretty good.

What turned TGP off on the time shares he's run across was the money required up front was usually fairly significant.

Probably depends on what part of the country the time share is set up and what level of investment the mgmt co requires, etc.

U89 has 2 weeks a year in Cabo San Lucas at Villa del Arco.....trade is very easy to Europe, etc.  Cabo is a pretty desirable destination.  $500 clams per week, no fee if second week is not used.  You can bank the weeks for up to 5 years.

Yea if you pay more than $3000 up front you should make sure you can get some nice places.  REI has a system (they have two systems actually, points and weeks?) where you can choose a 4-5 star place once every 3 years and the other years you have to pick a regular resort.  The regular resorts are all impressive though and the packet REI has is loaded with thousands of good places.
