Speaking of nose dives...

LD11 was out catching few waves a little earlier...I call next wave, last wave...Catch a decent one, hop off, paddle in, try to catch a little nug to ride to shore......Well, i'm paddling in not even looking behind me when this monster shore break wave comes and picks me straight up then dumps me nose first....the board plugs into the sand a whole 6 inches down, and I get tossed and basically ate sh!t, face planted into the sand, nearly broke my neck, and wasn't really at all sure what happened.

Wow, I didn't understand 30% of that.  Was that surfonics or ghostface lyrics?

Don't kick in the chorus just yet
Cause we ain't made a mess yet

Maybe Jackson couldn't take a star-less team to a championship but there are plenty of instances that prove a team full of stars presents its own challenges.  Having lots of talent is never a guarantee of winning.

Signed,

New York Mets fan

That's exactly what happened to Jackson when the Pistons beat the Lakers after they added Gary Payton and Karl Malone... but it probably didn't bother him too much when he went home and kissed the 9 other rings he already had.

All this ranting against Jackson you'd think I was rooting for the Celtics... but you'd be wrong. Go LA.

JU, has that shipment of pink celtics hats arrived in Boston harbor yet?  The "fans" are getting restless.

Actually gro, the city is flooded with green shirts.  Unlike the "pink shirt" sox fans, the bandwagon celtic fans are wearing the good old solid green shirt.  And I live in a semi-busy area next to the trolley tracks so I see em all over the place going into town.

When the Knicks are good again in 2019 gro will be walking around in the "classic" Ewing jersey.

true...true...and it will be pat ewing's grandson leading the way...knicks fans are destined to be miserable like cubs fans...

I was with gro until Lombardi.  Lombardi has a NJ Turnpike Rest stop/ Bus stop named after him.  This is the equivalent of Dungy having a city named after himself in Indiana.  Until Dungy gets a crap stop in NJ or the equivalent in Indiana, Lomdardi trumps Dungy.  The farm animal thing is not true, the goat's milk was used for cheese on the pasta for Sunday dinner.

the celts be knockin' on the door.....lakers look to be going down in flames blowing a lead that big at home they dont deserve to win....

Interesting but you know what?  If the parents don't care (they probably don't), then let the schools give em something rewarding.....unless it's my tax dollars.....

And did I really pay over $80 for gas this morning?  Lucky I only have to fill up every 2 weeks.

Yea but these charter schools sometimes have some different kind of setups.  But I guess if its grant money or whatever it still comes down to me paying for it.  Then again, I (we) pay for many of these kids when they get older anyway.

Grant money, schmant money.
If the program actually works and improves grades, don't you think educational leadership is going to try to roll this out everywhere with marginal to poor grades?  Sooner or later the trend isn't go to school to learn and get an education it's "hey, I'm not going to participate because the students at school X get paid!"  Sooner or later you have schools across america making it rain.

"So Regulator, did you do your homework?"....."nah bra, you need to PAY ME!"
