REG: TDT will have to take away your MAN-card for making that purchase...Additionally, TDT doesn't believe there is sufficient space to dock the laptop while posting on the LLPP in the Tree-Hugging Ride.

Ferrari: Appreciate the knowledge, you are doing the LLPP a great service.  TDT isn't sweatin' you most of the time just having a little fun with your OCD posts...BTW: The sky isn't falling.

Good stuff TDT, did you really think Reg was headed towards green?  I am leaning towards an '06 STS, however the Jag S-type type-R (supercharged) is very tempting

REG: Let's have a little fireside chat here...

1. No TDT knew you were just yanking the LLPP chain per is usual

2. I'd stay away from a Caddy.  My old man had an 02 Escalade that was decent, but once it hit 100K every last thing went wrong (including numerous expensive repairs).  Sidenote: This is a great little story that REG being the wheeler and dealer would enjoy if TDT ever makes it to the Shoes game.  Papa TDT unloaded this Caddy in need of mega repairs (3K+) to a car dealer on trade (who proceeded not to test drive it).

3. Jaguar X and R Type are GLORIFIED Ford Taurus'.

You melon farmer, you're going to shoot down Regs' top 2 and then not offer anything in return?
Just bc papaTDT had a lemon that happened to be a caddy, doesn't mean they are all bad.
and since when is a 430hp Jag a glorified Taurus?

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

+1k to JU for remembering what Gro drives.

-1k for putting Reg in a pink sweater

+1k for putting U89 in a double breasted sport coat.

Ok REG let TDT clarify his position...

1. The Jaguar X and S type LOOKS like a Ford Taurus.  If REG wants to roll with the big dogs he needs to look SMOOTH.  Lots of power under the hood, but I think there are better choices.

2. TDT would stay AWAY from anything American made.  We are just terrible at building cars and the gap continues to widen.  I mean it doesn't even matter, the Japanese, the Germans, the Brits, the Italians, they all just wipe American A$$ in the automotive industry.

3. Is REG buying or leasing?  Give TDT a chance to talk REG into the PROs of leasing instead of "owning" a vastly depreciating asset (cough your big boat cough).  And REG needs to OWN the salesmen and demand a 24 month...

4. You ask for recommendations and TDT aims to please.  A little more information on what you are looking for would be helpful.  However without that at this time, TDT would recommend a sweet 5 series BMW, GS430 Lexus, or Audi A6.

5. Can anyone confirm that REGuhator actually attended RPI?  TDT is thinking he might have been a classmate of Mr. Union 89 with his recent inquiry into a sweet new whip.  Ho hum...

TDT- Reg is buying...As you know in the LLPP as is in life, Cash is king.

How can you paint such a broad stroke across the american automotive industry?!?  I mean...come on! It's a Caddy!

MR is leasing her current vehicle and has paid $15k over the past 3 years to do so.....Regs goal is to own a car in the $15-18k range and sell it in 2.5 years for $10-14k, thus costing Reg 2-3k per year of ownership.  Reg found an '06 STS LOADED, without the v8 & AWD for 15k (even though it has higher mileage) that he may bite on.  However, Reg has a family loaner he can use until he finds the "right deal"

Come on TDT, does Reg need to school you on everything?

Reg tires to own salesmen, however, they aren't inthe mood recently to be owned.....it's almost like they don't want to be owned!  Do they not need to pay the bills?

PS- Closed circuit to TDT- Catch a late pass dude, Reg sold the 1 mpg wonder in March and no longer has the aquatic wheels!

Im gonna say a 2006 fully loaded STS with less than 50K is gonna be at least 20K.  If you can get that at 15K that aint bad.

Pep is sticking with the Pep Bandwagon, the 1992 Grand Caravan now with 295,500+ miles and still getting 18 to 20 mpg. However, a little body work may be called for now that it sports a different engine with only about 90,000 miles on it. Pep is definitely pimping the ride with a new Pioneer CD player and speakers...

As for a photo of the driver?

my bad, how do I rephrase that last comment.  How about, "you're too young and rediculasly good looking to be driving a jag".  Gro believes no one under 40 should be driving a jag.

Gro will allow you to purchase a caddy, under the stipulation that you make the salesman "throw dem bow's" as you sign the paperwork, and drive off the lot blasting "cadillac grills, cadillac wheels..." with gold fronts in your mouth.
