speaking of rutgers they are about to implode over there....

Don't worry PBR, I am sure this incredible slate of home games will right the ship.

Why'd they settle for Fresno St, North Carolina, Morgan St, Conn, the Cuse, Army and Louisville, did TCNJ, Coast Guard, and William Paterson have too many scheduling conflicts?

Well Fresno St. is an upgrade over Howard University. Howard was supposed to be game one in 08.  NC is an improving program.  Conn, the Cuse, and Louisville are league games.  Army has been an opponent off/on for years.  Schedule has been upgraded over 07.  Away games WV, Cincinnati, Pitt, So. Fla, and Navy.

Not a bad schedule.

I'm not going to say the program is perfect, but there was never a reason to spend time on the Rutgers campus in the Fall unless you were a student or teacher.  Now there's a reason to go... A good football team.

It has its benefits to the school itself.  Will Schiano leave at some point in the future.  I dunno.  But unless its Penn St., he's stupid if he does.  He's got a really good thing going.

Benefits of Rutgers Football

PBR...

Bernie Mac 1957-2008

He was one funny mother trucker

Bernie was great.  Great standup (JT has seen him live)... Head of State with Chris Rock, Ocean 11, 12, 13. Hopefully he's sitting around with Pryor and Carlin trading some funny ish.

bman

Bman has the need to make 2 unrelated rants this morning...

Bman enjoys (don't know why) watching the LL Playoffs and WS.  The fun the kids have is evident in their play, and to Bman the games are enjoyable.  The last 2 years though (especially this year), Bman has seen an alarming trend.   The kids, know they are getting ESPN airtime, and now we are getting 12 year old prima donnas...WTF?

The other night, there was this kid from Texas.  His name was Gunner.  Not a nickname...Who the F names their kid Gunner.   This kid had future pr*ck written all over him...

After every pitch, he would take 3 purposeful strides down the 3rd base line, take 2 hard practice swings, and  look at the 3rd base coach, until he got the sign, which he would then acknowledge by giving an emphatic nod yes...

Now, Bman's issues...

First, get over yourself kid... your'e 12...
Second, there are 2 outs, and no one on base...what kind of sign are you expecting?  Hit and run?  Take?  and stop F in agreeing with that nod...your'e going to do what they say or be benched....
Third... If you are going to do that stuff, at least be good.   You're hiiting like .125 for the regionals....

The sad thing was, after 3 pitches, Bman actually started thinking bad things like..."plunk the little primma donna"...

here is Bman a grown man, actually hoping the other 12 year old would bean a batter...  At each pitch, Bman was actually rooting for the kid to strike out...how pathetic is that?

Bman was minorly satisfied, when he hit a weak dribbler back to the mound...

Also, why does ESPN ask these kids, moronical questions, and then share them at each at bat...

"Up to bat is Billy, his favorite sport is baseball, and his favorite show is ESPN".

What do they expect these kids to say....?

"Up to bat is Billy, he really likes dancing in his spare time, and his favorite show is NOVA".  ...I mean, come on....

OK, Bman feels better now....

Bman +1k for the rant.  Reg watched some of last years series where these kids literally spit so much that they must lose 5 pounds a game.  What are you spitting for?  Did someone put pepper in your big league chew?  Are you smuggling a skoal bandit in you lip?  Did the NLCA (National Lama Caretakers of America) offer you money?  You look like a jerk, so stop it.

Yesterday Reg caught the end of the softball world series where the two teams were Puerto Rico Vs. New Jersey.  They panned the crowd multiple times and it was really a sight to see....

Anywhoo, in the bottom of the 7th, 1 out, runner on 2nd & 3rd for PR tie score game.  The NJ coach calls everyone in, I mean everyone, infielders, outfielders, to discuss the next play.  Im sure it went something like this.

"Ok....Infielders you play in 5 steps.....if the ball is hit to you, go home with it
OUtfielders, you play 15 yards behind the infielders, if the ball is hit to you, catch it and go home with it.
If they score here, the game is over, any questions?"

15 seconds later, ground ball to 2nd.  Girl charges it and guns it to 1st, runner scores????
I think everyone froze for a minute to realize what just happened.....Reg was very upset.

+k ... Nothing says great night ahead like the FM's turn to buy dinner.

Quick story.

Tags and FMTags only have a month left before the Weddin'. So last week we go down to the jeweler to order our wedding bands. Tags only picks out something simple, no big deal. FMTags of course has to get the matching band to her engagement ring, which let's just say didn't help add to the level of savings in the bank account.

So after Tags picked himself up off the floor, we went to get some dinner at Great Northern pizza. FMTags whips out the debit card and says "well even though you soaked me for your ring "cough", I guess the least I could do is buy dinner"...

Tags finds it odd that we were at a pizza joint, and not some place like the Cheesecake Factory 8)

Ahh Tags, this is just the beginning.  Just wait until she starts springing for everything, including dinner at the Cheesecake factory and crazy hair stylists that have their name spelled wrong (e.g. Glo) using her (i.e. your) account

Tags is heading for the land of 2 bank accounts, her account and our account.  Tags paycheck will go to "our" account and hers will go to hers.
