Just saw the US men take down the favorite France in the 4 x 100 freestyle.  Right after France was talking smack saying "We are going to smash them (United States)".  Sorry you sniveling Frenchmen, we invented trash talk and bulletin board material. Now go surrender to somebody.

right on JT...pbr watched it and woke mpbr up as he was screaming at the final 50 meters as jasoon lezak reeled in bernard!! BEAUTIFUL in also that it was Bernard who shot off his mouth saying they were going to smash the U.S. and to see him choke and tighten up in the final 50 was classic irony. PBR has watched a lot of swimming over the years and as many now have stated that was probably the greatest swimming relay race pbr has ever seen excitement at a fever pitch...even the 5th place team broke the what was the current world record and for the U.S. to smash it by 4 seconds is incredible!!

I honestly don't know how Lezak reeled him in like that....what a great win.  The crazy thing is, he did it in the last 25 meters of the race, before that he was well behind.

The best part of it was when the announcer adds "Who's talking now?!?"

was so amp'd up after that it took almost an hour to get to sleep after the medal ceremony....the lead up  and race got pbr's competitive juices and adrenaline following big time...of course mpbr initially was angry pbr woke her up screaming but after seeing what went down she started watching as well
