Hey JT, if Obama were stealing cars, playing hoops, and selling crack, would he have more character then?  He's a typical 'Chicago Politician'????  Gimme a break, they are all running for friggin President.  If you goddamn conservatives didn't get your panties in a bunch about EVERYTHING, maybe someone could act a little more like themselves, rather than what YOU want them to be.  Take the politics somewhere else...

Christ, we might as well talk about what the best religion is too here in this LLPP.  Is it amazing to anyone that almost every religious story is EXACTLY the same, yet the hero is a different skin tone?  Amazing isn't it!  Kinda sounds like politics to me, except before it was your 'party', and now for ONCE there was someone of a different sex AND someone of a different color.  Maybe this uptight country needs another old white haired caucasian man to make things ALL better, since they have such a great track record.  Obviously Obama will make it worse...

Im gonna go puke now.

JQV

Glad someone said that.  +k LD.

JT, if we all agree to go check Bill O'Reilly's blog will you spare us the 10,000-word regurgitation of his thoughts in response to LD?

Hightower was spot on.....

Union will be dumping Springfield in '09 and adding the Bombers.....Main reason being, the Dutchmen see no logical reason to spending the entire Summer prepping for that crazy Pride offense then never seeing it again until the next year.

re: Union dumping Homer Simpson College.......

that makes sense, but the scheduling of LL/E8 teams (especially Hobart) is often a source of confusion/exasgeration for TGP.

For instance, why would Hobart drop Alfred and only play 9 games?  At least Hobart's 2 non-conf games are strong (Dickinson and Carnegie instead of going the NEFC route like RPI - what?!?!?  zing!).

Bart's beating Alfred was probably the biggest reason late in the season that the Statesmen were able to make the tourney as an at-large bid.

Swiped this from OxyBob from the SCIAC boards.  Apparently it seems like only the Larries are hip to this in the LL.  Several of the NESCAC schools were also pro-booze:

Whittier College prez wants to lower drinking law

QuoteSharon D. Herzberger, the president of Whittier College, is one of 100 college leaders backing the Amethyst Initiative, launched last month to persuade lawmakers to lower the drinking age in the U.S. from 21 to 18.

Other signatories to the Amethyst Initiative:

IMO, this has a lot to do with the strong strides the new Union AD is making toward restoring Union's football program to where it once was and saying, "To hell with the status quo".

Cheers to AD, Jim McLaughlin (the pride of Malden Catholic and Everett, MA)!!!!

I always thought that at least for private colleges, the drinking age should be 18 on campus.  Im going to say most college kids dont drive around, and most kids are old enough to handle it.  Hell, if you can vote, you can shotgun a beast light.....

It kind of excludes the colleges from a lot of liability though too.  In the rare case where an underaged drinker dies on campus from alcohol, the school usually ends up shelling millions in payments.

So for like the past 2 days, Reg has been trying to figure out what happened to his XM radio in his car.  I am sorted by category, which goes from channel 20-30, which is 11 channles.  Yesterday, I am trying to figure out why it's skipping from 20 right to 24 and 26 to 29....Did I set favorites or something, does my radio hate me?  When I unsort by favorites it still works great, I can get all the Madonna, Like a Prayer I want.

Oh. XM completely revamped there channel lineup by category...you don't say...you mean the channels are still there, they are just categorized differently!....I appreciate the heads up....forget about the subscribers who are 10 seconds away from throwing these radios in the garbage.  And furthermore, on channel 29 last month, they had 29 days of coldplay where they played nothing but CP.  Was that to completely wipe out any listeners out there so they could change up the format?  I notice that channel is no longer on the air, wonder why.

PBR...

correct reg...sirius did that awhile back and pbr was looking to listen to a little buffet and instead somekind of new age jazz was on....wtf??  took pbr about 30 minutes to realize they shifted everything...probably has to do w/ the sirius/xm merger and long term planning. reg you should only need the earth, wind, fire station...dang could these boyz sport some threads....

Although JU doesnt set his XM to categories, this is the route JU takes on his XM channel search for his presets....

Ch8- The 80s
Ch9- The 90s
Ch12- X-Country
Ch41- The Boneyard (hard rock/hair bands)
Ch48-  The Squizz (New hard rock)
Ch54- Lucy (90s Alternative/Grunge)
Ch65- The Rhyme (Old school Rap)

Or sometimes JU will start on Ch 7 (the 70s), and scroll up to about Ch 27 (cinemagic), skip right over the gospel and showtunes (ch 27-34) and start back up at Ch40 (deep classic rock) and to up to 54.  Ill do a quick check back up to Ch65 and start again.....

But I would have to say my favorite station is 54 (90s alternative/grunge).

Gro had an immediate flashback to the days when some drunk sorority chick would play that song at a party then a mob of them would form for the interpretive dance session. +k
