Sorry Frank I am out for the shoes game. What moron thought it would be a good idea to put it that weekend instead of last game of the year? Im guessing there was a scheduling conflict but thats awful. I will be up for the Merchant Marines.

K-Mack regrets to inform the LLPP that he will not be attending The Shoes on Nov. 1, as had been his intention all along.

Despite the lure of direct flights from D.C., knocking a rivalry game off his list (though Pat has seen it live) and seeing '86 Field before it's too late, in the end he was won over by a battle of undefeated teams with a little subtext called the Miracle in Mississippi to further rile up both sides.

It was not an easy decision, and believe me, Albany and Rochester are high on the list of must-see areas that ATN has neglected to date. My goal is still to get a good portion of the LLPP in one place for on game. We will do this eventually, I swear.

RPI fans, feel free to blame Union and their three losses. :)

Damn you K-Mack....we catch enough heat from the boys of Troy as it is....

A word to the wise....pencil in next years Shoozapalooza in Schenectady....much nicer campus and the coeds are much prettier than RPI's (that's not saying much, I know).

Gro pictures K-Mack and PC post game mingling with the Union fans at Geppettoes in Schenectady, until a player's mom complains (that her son didn't make team of the week) and Paulie calls the cops. That's why they call it the shoes, because you'll be running from the law!

Will U89 have to bail K-Mack and PC out of trouble as well....

Hi Frank,

Its been a while. How are things? I have been talking to Coach Knapp a little bit and keeping up with the team. Seems like they are starting to turn it around. With all their youth on Offense they remind me alot of my freshmen yr. It takes the Frosh some time to learn the college game and the system but as they mature it seems the U offense will be pretty good for the next few years to come. I am so busy with work coaching and grad school getting up to the U has been near impossible but Ill be up there for the Shoes game of course! hey Frank I don't think people say it enough but it is appreciated by alot of people your dedicated support of Union Football. GO U!!! Frank keep in touch...my email is in my profile.

Steve -

Great to have you on board in the LLPP.  I know a lot of you guys have been lurking out there for a while, but it's great to have some fresh perspectives in here from former players.  Senor RT and I will be doing our WABY Shooz Tailgate Pregame Show from the parking lot again on Saturday (starting at 11:15am -- someone get me a bloody mary early that day), so I hope you and a couple of the other member's of the '05 team that beat RPI in that thrilling high-scoring affair can join us to talk about the rivalry.

I'm back in grad school myself -- and had to hand in a 25-page paper yesterday (an explanation for my silence over the past day).  It's a challenge just to get up to the five away games to broadcast them... so I can only wonder what coaching alongside grad school is like for you.  It's a great thing, though, that you're coaching and moving forward with football even past graduation; keep following that path.

I really appreciate your kind words here and all of the support from your family over the years.  Send my best to your parents -- I miss seeing them at the tailgate parties.  And make sure to jump in on this message board when you get the urge!

See you in Troy...  Just 10 days away now.

- Frank

Can Frank please post some highlights from said paper on the LL board?? RT would like to see some of FR's work outside the LL....if FR's "real" work is anything like his D3 postseason what if's, then we are surely to be impressed.....

I'd be happy to forward the two questions I was answering and my responses to anyone who submits an email address.  The class was our Condominiums class, and the questions related to condo and homeowners' association creations in somewhat complex scenarios.

Well, if KMac wants to miss a potential contributing-to-the-LL Championship game (since Union is still very much alive with three losses), then that sucks.  We even bought extra time for our special pregame show to dedicate to a KMac discussion.  I guess we'll have to revert to our original plan:  Senor RT's debate with tailgaters about "less filling" or "tastes great."

Interesting discussion in ATN this week -- although I wouldn't refer to 3+ teams being alive as a "problem."  The E8 has a problem since its tie and tiebreaker are currently under scrutiny.  The LL will solve its issues on the field or with head-to-head tiebreakers, even at two losses, should that become necessary.  So, this year, like last year, we'll at least KNOW who wins under the remainng scenarios going into the final weekend.

I can't make home games this year -- the sacrifice for going through with the original radio plan we came up with this year (that Carm Audino, Tom Santa Barbara and I would do the away games) before I knew that I'd enter the U Miami masters program.  RPI is the only Union game which puts me remotely close to home this year.

We'll catch up soon... send me contact info at rossif@yahoo.com when you get a chance.
