Hobart kicks 37 yard field goal as time expires,  a well-deserved 20-17 win.

Silver lining for RPI is 'Wick's loss opens up Pool C a bit.

Not really -- it actually hurt RPI's chances a bit.  Now a Pool C bid is DEFINITELY going to an E8 team, unless there's an upset next week (Ithaca losing to Cortland or SJF losing to Alfred).  RPI has a problem now -- their SoS is not going to look great after next week against MMA.  The only positive is that their loss would be to a Pool A team -- that's somewhat important when balancing Pool C nominees.

Are you drunk Frank?  Pool C to SJF?  If they win they are in via Pool A, if they lose they have 4 losses.  IC losing to Cortland an upset? Cortland is the favorite....no?  There will only be a Pool C from E8 if SJF wins and IC UPSETS Cortland.

Dude, re-read what I wrote.  I know who the Pool C bid would go to.  However, if either team (SJF - the Pool A hopeful, or Ithaca - the Pool C hopeful) loses (call it an upset if you want to or not) next week, the E8 doesn't get a Pool C bid, most likely.  Sorry that I'm moving too fast for you.

Not really, Wick's win loss closes the pool c as we are know looking at Ithaca as a pool c and not a pool a

Good point.  SJF as Pool A, having not been previously ranked, does really froth things up.

I think Ithaca needs to win Cortaca to stay in Pool C.  If they do, then East Region gets an imported No. 1 seed, you have to figure.

Its a mess to say the least...

Muhlenburgh or MUC get moved in if IC takes out Cortland...

Frank...you said E8 definately gets Pool C...unless certain upsets.  The only way Pool C comes from E8, is with an IC upset of Cortland....the only thing moving too fast is your keyboard...

You may be right about RPI's Pool C chances, but I wouldn't call Cortland St. beating Ithaca an upset.  Hartwick with 2 losses isn't as attractive a Pool C candidate.  If Ithaca loses to Cortland St., then they have 2 losses, so I'm not as convinced as you are that E8 is a lock for Pool C, especially if Wesley remains with only one loss, and let's not forget undefeated Husson lurking.

I'd call Alfred over SJF an upset, although Alfred appears to have played Ithaca tough, putting up some points.

Sunday night on "In the HuddLLe," Frank Rossi and Eric Ren will try to clear up the ever-confusing East Region playoff race, as best as they can.  In addition, they will be joined by:*

- Union Freshman Quarterback Andrew Connolly, who tied a Dutchmen passing record with five touchdowns in one game;

- Susquehanna Running Back Dave Paveletz, whose three touchdowns (two rushing and one receiving) helped propel the Crusaders to a huge day on the scoreboard; and

- Hobart Inside Linebacker Jeff Sanders, who was injured in the Statesmen opener in 2007, only to come back in 2008 for his fifth year and lead the tackle charts in a huge win against RPI.

Is RPI in or not?  What happens if Rochester pulls off the upset?  Who will be in the ECACs?  We'll answer these questions and more Sunday night at 7:30pm on "In the HuddLLe" at http://blogtalkradio.com/LLRecap (or archived for later listening).

Call us during the show at (646) 200-0576, or join us in the chatroom live during the broadcast!

Well what if RPI played Cortaland instead of the cupcakes?

Since you dont you might have an 8-1 RPI getting the bid over an 8-2 Ithaca?

In that case, go Cortland. Sorry IC guys, but having any of those f-ing North team screwing up the East... well, we just can't have that crap. An East team should have a chance to win the friggin' EAST region.

Frank Rossi

Dewcrew, hate to say this, but add 'em up:

1) Cortland
2) E8 Winner
3) LL Winner
4) MAC Winner
5) NEFC Winner
6) Pool C
7) Pool C
8) ?

Unless Husson is a third Pool C in the East (highly doubtful a third Pool C is going to come from this region), somebody has to be moved into this bracket.  I'd rather have Muhlenberg than Mount Union.  I fear right now that MUC is going to be moved back at the top of this bracket no matter what right now.
