The Rev has greeted the news of Hobart's victory with hitherto unknown restraint.  The Rev is already looking to Rochester to spoil our season for us.  Rochester always plays the spoiler.

The Rev has determined that he is indeed a jinx for the Statesmen.  Look at the last four years in which The Rev went out of his way to attend an important game, and poisoned the Statesmen with his presence:

2005 Hobart - Union @ Union.  Union went on to be LL champs.
2006 Hobart - Union @ The Boz.  Hobart's only loss in regular season.
2007 Hobart - RPI @ The Boz.  Hobart's only LL loss.
2008 Hobart - Union @ The Boz. Hobart's only loss of the season.

With this track record, The Rev is swearing off attending Hobart games.  In fact, the Rev has even given up listening to The Statesmen on WEOS, because last time he did, Hobart lost their lead to Carnegie-Mellon.  The Rev turned the game off and Hobart came back to win it.

The Rev's dad wrote to The Rev to say that he will no lonegr attend Hobart games with The Rev (perhaps Pop thinks he's the jinx.)

The good new for all of you non-Hobart fans, The Rev is a step and a half away from moving back to Geneva, NY.  When that day comes, you can all look forward to Hobart going 3-7 like we did when the Rev was in school.

Come on Rev.  Keep your hopes up! Lets hope for that possibility that Hobart might have a game with Ithaca in this years playoffs!

- Union Freshman Quarterback Andrew Connolly, who tied a Dutchmen passing record with five touchdowns in one game;

- Susquehanna Running Back Dave Paveletz, whose three touchdowns (two rushing and one receiving) helped propel the Crusaders to a huge day on the scoreboard; and

- Hobart Inside Linebacker Jeff Sanders, who was injured in the Statesmen opener in 2007, only to come back in 2008 for his fifth year and lead the tackle charts in a huge win against RPI.

I have no problem's whatsoever with Coach Audino......Frank, who is a visable representative of the College talking about the administration the way he does is what I have a problem with.....

So what, we're supposed to refrain from public criticism of our school's AD?  What is this, war time?

As a Union fan I don't really want that game.....I could easily see Union coming out flat and uninterested while Curry would be pumped up for a second big regional win in as many years.

Dude, if that's the case, I would love to see them get another win....I just look at it as a letdown situation.

Do you actually READ what you write??  I mean seriously?  The most frequent question I get asked at Union games these days is, "Who is that Union89 guy on the message boards?  What the hell is up his azz?"  

The quotes I pulled out are just from this thread.  There's a feature on here to read your own posts inside your profile -- take a day and re-read the last 1 1/2 months of your posts.  

And I don't view those as negative!!  An ECAC bid is a letdown for any team hoping for a bid to the NCAA tournament.  How often do sportswriters talk of letdowns when basketball teams go to the NIT's instead of the NCAA's??  Same thing....how that's negative is a figment of your twisted mind.

As a Union Fan you dont want to see your team reach its 4th consecutive postseason playing against a team that has won as many NCAA Playoff Games as you have in the past 15 years?

As a Union Fan why dont you want to see your team reach its 4th consecutive postseason playing against a team that has won as many NCAA Playoff Games as you have in the past 15 years?

I am a Union fan also, only Im not trying to convince myself that this program is what it once was. The support is allowing them to have a real good team every 4-5 years.......Getting to an ECAC against Curry this year would be great for the future of the program. Because next year has the potential to be that year. And with 3 top 20 teams on the schedule, any experience these kids could get against qualitly competition would help them toward that goal....
