Make sure everyone tunes in tonight for the last episode of "In The Huddle"  on www.blogtalkradio.com/LLrecap  ....we'll be taking calls tonight. Show starts at 7:30pm....tune in!!

k+ and great job to you and Frank over the course of the season.  to throw a show on short notice just before/after week 1 and then average 400+ listeners a week (not to mention having guests including almost all the head coaches in the LL, the Chairman of the NCAA selection committee, PC, K-Mack and the LL "commish"), is a great service to the players and fans of the LL.  well done (queue slow, building clap ala "Rudy").

looking forward to season 2 of ITH.

Thanks for the kudos, the karma and all of your help and support this year TGP.  You're a great asset to Division III Football, especially to Hobart and the Liberty League.

Anyone catch the reference that was pointed out in the General Football / Division III Rivalries PP about Lou Holtz mentioning the Dutchman Shoes game last week on ESPN?

Did Hobart really fake 3 punts?

What were the fakes like?

alright u tech heads and nerds get out of bed...its black cyber monday time to load up on your dungeons and dragons games so have at it and try to do your part on getting the economy back on solid footing

EDIT: if anyone needs it this is a good place to start..

Didn't have a chance to post this earlier, but nice game (especially the first half) by Hobart.  Defensively they played as well as I've seen for the first half.

I loved the playcalling from the Bart coaching staff.  Seeing that Mount was vulnerable on punt coverage was an example of great coaching (the fake punts were probably their two biggest plays of the game).  How do you get beat by the fake punt TWICE?!  They used interesting formations and aggressive playcalling...but it wasn't gadgety and forced.  Well done.

HOWEVER, you folks did keep me at the game until the fourth quarter (at 35-7 I called it)...that's valuable time that could be spent at a local establishment that I've come to enjoy since my days as a student at a rival university.   ;D

Congratulations on a fine season.

Man, it's the same old story as last year with the MUC fans when they beat Fisher.  The fan's are over in the OAC board talking about how if a few things broke differently, MUC would have without question won the game much more convincingly than the 42-7 final.

IMO, MUC fans really try to be cool, but when it comes down to it, they can't help themselves with the digs.  Mount won the game by 35 points....they come in here and compliment the hell out of 'Bart, yet stroke each others ego's that it should have been much worse.

I really want to believe those guys and want to feel that they are genuine, but they can't help themselves with this crap.

I stayed at a Mount Union game for the longest time since I was calling blowouts for WJCU.  I had to wait until it was 35-7 to head to the Hood, so congrats to the Hobart folks for giving Mount a tough test.

I pulled that quote off the OAC board in 1.5 minutes of looking through old posts.  Since I'm assuming you're talking about Toph talking junk on the OAC board since he was the last one to come over here and congratulate 'Bart on a good game, I thought I would use one of his quotes.  Are there people on that board saying it could've been worse?  Absolutely.  See if you can find one of the people that congratulated the Statesmen on a hard fought game talking junk on the other board.  Those of us who came over offering congrats don't speak for everyone on the OAC board.  And by the way, Toph is being genuine in that post, not tongue in cheek, that really was as long as he's stayed at a game in the past two years.
They should have practiced harder.

raiderfan1983

And looking even deeper in to the posts, the one who is doing the most talking about how the game shouldn't have been that close isn't even a MUC poster.
They should have practiced harder.

I was thinking the same thing.  Even after the Ithaca game I kept telling myself "dam, Im proud of what Ithaca did" and they still lost by 3 touchdowns.

But hey, you see how MUC beats teams by 6-7 touchdowns and you find yourself actually watching a goodfootball game and you feel kind of satisified at the end.
