It wasn't clear if the 1.5MM was 2008 salary or a 2008 buyout amount....

BMan would take 800K  no problem....

PS leave LD alone...his teams haven't won a championship in 6 months....he's getting impatient :o

that reminds me, the knicks will gladly pay marbury's salary if the celtics take him off their hands.  If he goes there most likely he'll shut up and play whatever role is asked of him, and the celtics will win another championship. (and gro will be at home with the tissues and ewing jersey).

At least the Knicks are playing well.  The Labron sweepstakes are coming up soon.

On another note...It was painful watching the NFL games this weekend.  The Patriots would have beaten all of them handily.  Kinda sucks.

Awww, wuddle pats fans all gots the sniffle wiffles cuz they team gotta watch the pwayoffs on teevee....

Sit back and enjoy it with the rest of us fans of loser teams.

Sincerely,

Kansas City fan

l'il bill has got to figure out another way to tape teams practice to look like a genius on the field again w/ his schemes...  8) the pats tee times are at 9a.m. tomorrow morning...

                              Sincerely,
Eagles Fans (awaiting this weeks meeting w/ the g-men)

Dude, seriously?  'Lil Bill' should have won coach of the year...Let's see:

Tom Brady
Rodney Harrison
Adalius Thomas
Laurence Maroney
Tedy Bruschi

This team exceeded it's expectations after Brady went down and had more wins than 4 playoff teams and the same record as 3 others.  Thats 7 of the 12 playoff teams.  Now i'm not complaining.  That is the playoff system and that's the way it goes.  But they lost to 4 playoff teams, and the other was the Jets who were at the time, on pace to be the AFC East champ.  They don't have any marks on their record like a tie to Cincinatti or 2 losses to Washington.  Catch my drift?

So it just sucks seeing teams like Arizona, Minnesota, Miami, Philly and San Diego play this weekend(although SD scares me a bit now) while NE finished on a strong note, and missed out.  It feels a bit like scoring the hottest chick at the bar, bringing her home and finding out she's waiting til she gets married.  We'll there's always next year.

Dear LD,

You and 1 other guest are invited to the eagles super bowl parade down broad st. We know you missed the phillies parade this fall down broad st. so as a good will gesture we are inviting you and another guest to celebrate philly style w/ a cheese steak/soft pretzels and the eagles world championship. We hope to see you there and have reserved a space on the first float w/ brian dawkins.

                                                   Sincerely,
                                                   The Eagles and pbr

coming soon to the meadowlands...

I don't much, but I do know the Eagles are NOT going to the Super Bowl.  Enjoy that Phillies parade.  It'll be the last in Philly for a while.

While KS feels the Dolphins deserved the Division title, KS does feel that it sucks that an 11-5 team stays home while an 8-8 team gets to host a playoff game.

The way the Ravens D is playing they will give anybody a hard time right now, SD is also dangerous but KS wants to see how Sproles reacts after getting hit by the Steelers D instead of Indys D.

KS thinks the Dolphins need to get a little nastier on the O-line, better deep threat than Ginn and the O should be good.  Defensively they need a little more depth on the line and at LB and they need to upgrade/get younger at CB.

How do you know they are NOT going?   Lurie may have already bought them tickets in the upper level (like the cub scouts)....

Of course, McNabb will be sitting in the next section over with his mom.... :o

JT saw Marley and Me this weekend.  Good movie, stayed pretty true to the book, but the end is a tough watch for dog lovers.   JT would take a "bad" dog over most people.  Highly recommend, but maybe not for young kids who have never seen a pet put down.  Some little kids in the theater were truly shocked.

JT should I read the book before or after seeing the movie? I pose this question to myself regarding many books and movies (Grisham) and depending on the story line sometimes I make the right choice and sometimes the wrong one. Maybe I a book snob who knows. Any thoughts? By the way Happy New Year to the LLPP!!!!! 2009 the LL sends a team to the Stagg!!! Well maybe not but we will try! Is it me or did Jackson look awful for the Vikes? I agree with an earlier statement that Ravens were only team from this weekend that has a shot.

I love Stephan Marbury on the sidelines. It should be his home forever!!

If you haven't read it yet check out "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy. Gro read it before Oprah put it on her list. The movie comes out sometime this year... Gro suggests you read the book 1st.

Gro, go read 'I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell'.  It's basically another idea that we dropped the ball on, chronicalling some dudes escapades.  FYI - we woulda put his stories to shame.  but they are still decent.

Hold on Groprah.

I read the road a few weeks ago and I thought it sucked.  This book is an excuse for 11th grade English teachers to give out something that kids would actually enjoy to read.

In all seriousness, I guess I cant say it really sucked as I kept on reading to find out what will happen, but I thought it was going to be some sort of sci-fi apocolpytic novel with come action. (which I like).  It was more of a family drama set in the future where you never really know where the characters are, what happened, or what will happen.
