On "The Road" searching for the white castle in Cherry Hill, NJ

This is the part about Harold and Kumar that makes JT a little crazy.  The could have gone for a little accuracy for White Castle locals.  There are no White Castles in South Jersey.  They left an area of Jersey loaded with White Castles in order to go 1hr+ South where there aren't any WC's.

Should have put them in South Jersey and sent them North.

Drives MJT nuts, especially when they hit Princeton cause they are within 10 miles of two WC's.  JT starts going.  "The f*cking White Castles are right HERE!!!"

On second thought... maybe JT is just crazy.

Dude, do you ever think about Marvin Berry calling his cousin Chuck Berry, when Marty McFly plays Johnny B. Goode at the Enchanment Under the Sea dance?  Like, Chuck Berry would have made Johnny B. Goode anyway, since Marty knew it in the first place.  It makes ZERO sense.

Not so random video of the day.

And not that JT knows, but he's heard that an hour plus drive is to far for stoners with munchies to travel.  ;)

Hell, back in the day JT once ate a can of frosting because anything else would have required mixing ingredients and cooking.

And last month NJ got one step closer to legal medical marijuana.  8)

Nice.

Sometimes JT actually likes working NYC.  This morning was one of those moments.  JT was leaving his car and heading to the office when he overheard two construction guys, one of whom was a smoker.

Non-smoker:  So whatcha f'n do about it?

Smoker: Cop was being a total ahole.

Non-smoker: Yeah so?

Smoker: He sez that its a $75 fine for smoking in Penn Station.

Smoker: So I ate the f'n ticket right in front of 'em.

Non-smoker: That'll show 'em, you f'n nut job.

Smoker: Ah f him.  I wasn't in the mood.

movies and accuracy don't mix.  I had a friend that went to space camp (twice actually), and said it was nothing like the movie.

EDIT: JT you already got +k due to the karma war, but I'll add another tomorrow for picking up on the harold & kumar reference.

The guy should move to Mass, since it was $75 for a plain cigarette.

JT saw Marley and Me this weekend.  Good movie, stayed pretty true to the book, but the end is a tough watch for dog lovers.   JT would take a "bad" dog over most people.  Highly recommend, but maybe not for young kids who have never seen a pet put down.  Some little kids in the theater were truly shocked.

JT should I read the book before or after seeing the movie? I pose this question to myself regarding many books and movies (Grisham) and depending on the story line sometimes I make the right choice and sometimes the wrong one. Maybe I a book snob who knows. Any thoughts? By the way Happy New Year to the LLPP!!!!! 2009 the LL sends a team to the Stagg!!! Well maybe not but we will try! Is it me or did Jackson look awful for the Vikes? I agree with an earlier statement that Ravens were only team from this weekend that has a shot.

I love Stephan Marbury on the sidelines. It should be his home forever!!

For JT, if the book looks interesting he'll read it.  Sometimes its a book that might be a movie.  When JT read Marley, there wasn't a movie in the works.  Usually if JT has seen the movie, he won't read the book.

The Marley book explores more of the day to day and the husband's column.  There is some more funny ish that got compressed out of the movie.  Its a quick read, and can be found discounted on paperback.  I'd recommend reading it.  You'll enjoy both if you are dog person.

One book that was way better than the movie was "The Beach"  the movie left out about 4 wicked good characters.

pbr has never seen that many  cops and dept of corrections cars and people in 1 place...plus 2 helo's circling...all this for some dood in a minimum security farm escape? wtf? there were cars parked every 1/4 mile on everyroad. pbr's building is surrounded by heavy woods so the dawgs have been out all day.

on another note pbr just did a whirling hamill camel in the driveway....m'fr there is a wicked ice storm hitting and taking out the trash pbr's neighbor who was leaving to go salt the township roads yells out "careful its slippery..." no sooner did he yell that and pbr's hands and feet were flailing in every direction to stand up w/ trash  bags flying....
