Touchdown Tommy

Pat,

Bus has looked everywhere for info on who the ESPN broadcasting crew will be next Saturday.  Could you please enlighten us with these details?  Thanks much.

I'm personally a huge fan of the Big Ben Fathead commercials.  I laugh my ass off everytime.

Miggy for Manny?  I like...

I think I got a Jake Busey sighting and a cameo from a kid who played 'Will' on a few Episode's of Dawson's Creek, who's story rolled into a summer seiries called Young Americans.  ESPN's casting is nothing short of amazing.  Too bad they couldn't cast a QB who atleast looked half athletic and like he could throw a football.

Leinart didn't improve his draft status but I guarantee he improved his quality as a professional QB right out of college.  He is the calmest and coolest college QB i've ever seen play.  He doesn't have a worry in the world out there and I'll predict them beating up on Texas, based solely ont he fact that USC knows how and when to kick it into high gear, and let's face it, winning gets boring after a while, hence the close games this year.

He may have gone first last year.  But Reggie Bush wasn't in last year's draft.

What Leinhart did by choosing to wait to enter the draft was trade 2005 dollars (big dollars) for 2005 college memories (perhaps bigger memories) - whether that trade is good or bad all depends on one's perspective. As years go by, I hope Leinhart remains happy with his decision about the trade.

By the time his career ends Leinhart will have made up what he lost financially by staying a fifth year, as long as he becomes half the pro he is expected to.

A little note about the MU Rowan game, I was watching the end of the Appalachian (sp) State Furman D-1AA semifinal game and the bottom line showed a final of 49-7.  App State and Furman was a pretty good game that came down to the final play.

The end of this celtics game is making me sick.

Everytime the dam mavericks score, they frickin let whoever has the ball for the celtics just DRIVE TO THE DAM HOOP ALONE!!

knightstalker: A fundamental of economics and financial planning is that the front money has far more power (and consequently far more importance) than the back end money.

A bit of a surprise from what most Union alumns (U89 included) figured, Chuck Priore will be the head coach of Stony Brook University in '06......so much for him waiting to take over for Bags at UPenn.

Priore is a L.I. boy so U89 figures this is a homecoming of sorts.....still surprised by the move.

Frank, with the amount of money he is going to make, it really doesn't make much difference, unless he is a complete dumbass which is not unusual for a professional athlete, especially when it comes to money.

Congrats to C. Priore!

Knightstalker needs to consult the combined expertise of the LL PP inc board of directors.  What would the scoring differential need to be in basketball for the win to be considered a Monkey Stomp?

knightstalker: When I was 21 and if I had the opportunity, I probably would have done it his way. Now (50 years later), if I had the capacity, I might do it differently based on considerations of taking care of grandchildren, further generations (subject to the law against perpetuities) and charity.

Ley's face it, the only way Matt Leinart risked not being a monky-stompillionaire, was to get hurt this year.  He has one game left.  If he survives, then nothing matters.  Or he could pull a Willis McGahee.  Either way, i don't think he's too worried about $$$ at this point.  And if he does get hurt, the guy is ridiculously good looking.  He'll pop up on TV somewhere.

Looking for another good NFL week this Sunday.  Don't like much in the early games, but I do have a small play on Carolina -6, and Carolina ML.

Looking towards the Giants, KC, and possibly the 49ers in the late games.
