The last two SB's have been great, two evenly matched teams, a good back and forth game in the second half, some great plays and the games have come down to the last possession and an aggressive play on D seals the win both years.

*This just in: Mike Tomlin head coach of the Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers has officially invited the Arizona Cardinals Defensive Secondary to ride with the Steelers during the Super Bowl Parade celebration in Pittsburgh. Tomlin said, "Any defensive group that makes Big Ben look like John Elway deserves to be celebrated in a parade." :P

*Also rumor has it from a leak at 2:14am EST that the Arizona Cardinals have contacted former Indiana and Texas Tech Basketball coach Bob Knight about the Arizona Cardinals Defensive Coordinator position that WILL be open next year. Coach Knight responded by sending a tape of a speech he would have given the Arizona defense at the conclusion of the Superbowl: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yw7KijRfU-c

RIP to SP.  The new kid isn't too bad.  How can you not like "Don't Stop Believin?"

TGP is torn.  Grandpa TGP was born in Chester, PA and his bros worked at US Steel back in the day.  Still, TGP always likes an underdog and AZ aren't too far from SoCal.

Would be something if the Chicago St Louis Phoenix Cardinals of Arizona became the SB XLIII champs!

Filipino kid.  Won a karaoke contest.  Now lead singer of Journey. Talk about rags to riches.  MJT naturally approves.

JT

So Arizona scores and JT's says they scored too fast.  Now they'll go into a prevent defense and lose.  Should have continued blitzing and attacking.

Still a good Super Bowl.

'gro

Gro had a bigger rooting interest last year and thought it was a more exciting game but all the talking heads and even the commish thought this year topped it.

For me the higher score didn't make up for the penalties and sloppy play down the stretch. A great game yes. Best eva? not so much.

'gro

Gro also enjoyed that they didn't go the "Default QB MVP" route (see Peyton and Eli Manning).  Big Ben played well, so did sir smokesalot santonio, harrison had the TD but not much else.  It was close, and the QB usually wins those ties. Nice to see the other guy get it. That TD catch was textbook.

harrison should of been tossed after that cheap shot...ruined what would of been a great game for him.

That AZ touchdown was the capper of a great weekend for SF with the gambling.  Friday night was a big night at Turfway Park for the pony races.   Saturday saw GSP make SF some $$.  Then for Sunday, SF took Cardinals+7 with everything won on the previous two nights and doubled it.

right on gro I believe 18 flags thrown..wild. Part of me says Harrison is a dirtbag and the other part says he was just focused and wanting that title so very bad. Actually I have decided, he is a dirtbag and should have been booted.

-Did anyone see Homles' catch that got called back on the safety?  That was sick too.

-And the guy that Harrison punched, why didn't they call him for blocking below the waist on the punt?

-Anyone also notice in the NFL how violent the XP attempts are on the line?  I mean, its like a fistfight during every kick and how many ever get blocked?  Is that just the chance for defensive special teams players to wind up and take it out on somebody?

bman

Bman is not a hater of Pittsburgh, but is curious as to why it seems that "the burgh" seems to get awarded TDs after they cross the 1....

No way, did Roethlisberger get in against Seattle...(well at least the ball didn't), then, when he get's hit at the 2, the ref, could not get his hands up fast enough....and why was there no penalty on the play, as the o lineman clearly pulled him forward....

Flashback to the Baltimore game, where they catch the ball in the endzone, but could not have established possession until well after the ball is out(dissimilar to how they call possession on out-of-bounds plays in the NFL.....and are handed a TD

Same ref again calling the TD at the half, when that was more than debatable as well (But Bman certainly agrees that there is no way in h*ll that they could reverse that by the replay)

Can the NFL at least answer these questions????
