ahh yes... the textbooks...the end of semester final cash in pocket for 1 last blow out. people standing in line waiting for cash hoping they dont get to their allotment of books before you get there to get your payola...

Why not just sell the car?  Why Pay to keep a depreciating asset in storage that costs even more money?
If you do store it, make sure you use a gas stabilizer....fuel with ethanol has a very short shelf life....might even be worth it to run it out of gas and then you don't need to worry about someone going to start it.

The Rev understands where you are coming from in regard to selling the car, and considered doing just what you said. The Rev's problem is that he's taken it in the shorts the couple times he moved and sold, whereas the one time he moved and kept, he did OK.  "OK" being relative because as you say, I was paying for storage, etc.  In the Rev's estimation, he is guaranteed to lose money either way, but believes he will lose less by keeping.

The Rev has also thought about shipping it over, which would be highly ironic...importing a Korean car into Korea.

5th - 9th: Rev drives cross-country from Yuma, AZ to Norwich, NY
10th: Rev unloads stuff and does the final pack up for Korea.  Then gets dropped off at SYR Airport Best Western.
11th: planes leaves SYR at 6am  flight to Detroit, then Tokyo, then Busan.  Arrives 9 pm in Busan on March 12.  Two hour drive to new town.

gro yet again we have another incident with an officer going to the dentist while on duty. WTF? The department is in the middle of an on going investigation into inside wrong doing, the department is getting awful press everyday to add on to an already dwindiling reputation, and you can't take two hours off to go to the dentist? I have never seen anything like this before in my life. It seems as if almost twice every week an officer is caught doing something not only wrong but illegal? Again I just feel so sorry for the great cops in this city doing everything right and putting their lives on the line each day.

I think the Chief is fairly new and came from another city so he's not tainted (hehehe taint). It's been a long process to clean out the 10-15% of bad cops on the force. You're right about supervision. They go and put expensive GPS units in all the patrol cars to keep tabs on the officers (and better response coordination) but then no one is assigned to monitor the GPS data... come on.
