eagles front office i.e. lurie/banner are freakishly paranoid that someone write anything negative about them...pbr would not be surprised if they had a army of web crawlers scanning for anything written about them on the net. those 2 knuckleheads are well beyond paranoia and pbr seriously doubts the eagles will win any kind of championship while they are at the helm...their management style is pitiful

Bman, being a lifelong Eagles fan, has to root for the team, despite the pain of having arguably the worst front office in the league(from a fan perspective). The Eagles' management has done everything possible to distance themselves (and piss off) the fans, from the arbitrary raising of ticket prices,  absurd tailgating and food policies, to condescending treatment in press releases and radio interviews.

Joe Banner, Jeff Lurie, and Andy Reid (the three stooges) can manage to get away with this, due to the fact that the Eagles fan base is so strong, that they will continue to sell out the seats, regardless of  whatthey do.    I personally would love to see an"orange out" if Denver plays in Philly this year, with 60,000 orange Brian Dawkins jerseys...shouting out..."hey Joe, we like Dawkins more than you "azz**le...how about if we run you out on a rail, you annoying little man".....

Sorry TDT you are way way way off here. Dude when you make that much money to play a ****ing game and are in the national spotlight 3/4 of every year in front of countless kids who worship you, you are a role model whether you like it or not tough ****. Athletes who refute that simply can't handle any responsibility and are cowards. Read the article I posted above, they are children in adult bodies. With all the money they are given  they are simply untouchable and can act anyway they choose because attitudes like the one you have posted above allow them to do so. No offense dude personally here but when these athletes' actions off the field and on are ignored by many becuase they are "great talents" then we have a big problem in this society. But it's O.K. we'll just let them act anyway they want in front of children everywhere, pay them millions upon millions of dollars, so people can sit on their fat asses, eat wings, and be entertained. I agree Manny is one of the top ten natural hitters EVER but he is "...a savant with a bat," and worth all of $0.50 on the fading dollar in our current world economy.

I am on the fence here.  On one hand he is a great player and should act like a role model.  On the other hasn't the media bashed this guy enough that children should be steered away from him by adults?  I mean, look at bonds or Sosa a couple years back.  You didn't see kids running around in their jerseys, right?  Aren't there any other decent players out there that acts accordingly and appreciative for the money they make?

Once companies are forced to start conserving their advertising dollars, all sports salaries are going to go through a reset or they are going to drive the game bankrupt.  Don't know if there are any Nascar fans out there....however, have you seen some of the races lately?  They can't even do shots of the stands in the Nationwide series because there isnt anyone there.

Don't know if there are any Nascar fans out there....however, have you seen some of the races lately?  They can't even do shots of the stands in the Nationwide series because there isnt anyone there.

JT's not a fan.  He appreciates the sport and the skill, but JT knows the pull of NASCAR.  NASCAR tix used to make JT more money time in and time out than anything else.  NASCAR fans are a serious large group and fans.  If attendance is way down, it is one of the truest indicators of the economy.

And with more people Going Galt, its going to get rough.  JT's is going Galt.
