A few notes from "Rev's Road Trip"....

1. Pulling a 4x8 U-haul with a Kia Spectra 5 IS possible, but not suggested.  The rev maintained an average speed of about 75 mph, but it reduced his mileage from 30 mpg to 20.

2. The Rev is sitting in the Tokyo-Narita Airport.  There are loads of fit birds with cute voices who find it really funny that Rev's last name is Smith.

3.  Do not take a 12 hour flight just one day after finishing 5 days of 12 hour drives.  The Rev is about to put on a straight jacket.

4. The Reece's Pieces Sundae at Friendly's is an appropriate "Goodbye America" meal.

5. RPI was an answer in last weekend's NYTimes crossword that the Rev did on the first leg of today's flights.

6. Airline Lounges are worth the cost of the AMEX PLatinum card if you travel a lot.  This NWA club in Narita has a beer machine where you put the glass on a platform and press a button.  The machine tilts the glass up to the tap, pours a perfect beer and then squirts a little extra foam on it for a nice 1" thick head.  The Rev would like to declare this machine the "LLPP Invention of the Millenium."  The Rev can only imaine what 'Gro could do with a machine like that.  IF there were a special Ruck's Wings machine, it would be all over.

7. The Rev is gnoshing on some pretty good grub in the lounge..

8. There's a Man wearing a hair band. WTF?

Flight for Busan is in an hour or so.  The Rev is signing off.

Hey CB, I have to answer your question with a question.....

Have you ever tried to throw your car sideways around a corner?  Ever try to beat the guy next to you at a stoplight?  (this is when you do a gut check and realize it sucks to drive a kia)

As much as I dislike Kyle Busch, that kat has some skillz.....the reason he is faster than anyone out there is becuase he keeps his car sideways more than anyone else is willing to go.

So, a sport, yes.  There is a winner and loser.... enough for me to qualify it as a sport.

right on reg...as pbr's family has raced in the indy 500, daytona 500, 24 hours of le mans etc...auto racing is the real deal. trying pulling 4+ g's for several hours inside a car thats 120 degrees...who is this dood cb23 anyway w/ that kinda post the anticipation of their post #66 is overwhelming... cb23's new whip is a pimped out yugo...

Union's '09 non-conf. schedule includes Ithaca, Muhlenburg & Salisbury........pretty impressive!!

Apparently Endicott, Becker and Utica had already committed to play RPI so the Dutchies had to look elsewhere of non-conf games........

This is truly unfortunate TGP. I know the Dutch had their hearts set on playing all three of these teams in hope of improving their SOS.

PBR, you sound like an Andretti.  Another thing about NASCAR drivers and race drivers in general.  Those doods and ladies are usually strong as hell on top of being in good shape, and many drink like fish or LLPP members.

KS met Cale Yarburrough (sp) once when KS was in the Navy.  Dood had a beer gut, but was strong as hell and quick as hell.  A lot of these guys have Ted Williams like reaction time.  Definitely a sport, definitely athletes, definitely extremely popular.

TDT, you really need to get out more, people are getting sideways in the dirt all over this great nation.

not an andretti but they are family friends since they live less than an hour away as well as roger penske.....just always bothered pbr when people say racing isnt a sport, this usually comes from some tool sitting on his couch that has just cracked open his 12th ml and has his 5lb. bag of cheetos sitting next to him armed w/ his remote control.

I'll go along with the insinuation re: Becker (pretty sure that was a one and done in '07) and Endicott but Utica maybe a different story.  That game if on the schedule for RPI for '09 scares me.  They lost to Fisher by 7 last year, coughed up a potential win vs RPI, and by only 10 to Hartwick.  They were young and should be better this year.

Stim thnks their coach knows what he is doing.

Note to my friend 'Gro......

The first two episodes of, "Eastbound and Down" were fantastic.  U89 just watched episode #3 in On-Demand......seems like the show is starting to jump the shark.

"F-U......You're Out!!!!"

Gro agrees... sad. It had so much promise.

Looks like TDT caused quite a stir with his late night rant.  It was TDT's pleasure to generate some heated discussion on the LLPP.

BTW: Reg you are full of ish.  There is no way you live in the land of Miller Lites, Harleys, and Octoberfest.  This mancrush on NASCAR has TDT convinced you are down in the Dirty Dirty (Hotlanta or Charlotte)....

JU doesn't like to beat a dead horse, but my hatred for manny ramirez (no caps) is still inside me.  Here is an article about how an actual teamate feels about minni ramirez:

"Papelbon described Ramirez as a "cancer."

""It just takes one guy to bring an entire team down, and that's exactly what was happening," Papelbon told Esquire. "Once we saw that, we weren't afraid to get rid of him. It's like cancer. That's what he was. Cancer. He had to go. It (stunk), but that was the only scenario that was going to work. That was it for us."

NEW YORK, March 12 (UPI) -- Former NFL running back Travis Henry is having
trouble supporting his nine children, The New York Times reported.
The children are 3-11 years old and all have different mothers, the Times said.
He claimed that he was surprised that some of his former suitors became
pregnant by him.
Henry tried recently to get a judge in Atlanta to lower monthly payments from
$3,000 for a 4-year-old son, and is $16,600 behind on support for a youngster
in Frostproof, Fla., his hometown.
The Times said the presiding judge showed little sympathy for Henry's
predicament during a recent hearing and declined his request.
"I love all my kids," he told the Times in a telephone interview. "They've got
my blood. I've got to deal with it (but) I've lost everything in this mess I've
gotten myself into."
Henry, 30, played for three teams from 2001-07.
Earlier this year he was under house arrest in Denver after an indictment on
charges of cocaine trafficking.
Randy Kessler, his Atlanta-based lawyer, said Henry virtually was broke, the
Times reported.
