Economic meltdown hit home finally, Tags' good friend got dumped from his hedge fund.

Any chance we found a bottom last week?

Probably not, Tags.  Or at least, we should be retesting the lows -- the current unemployment-caused foreclosure cycle has only just begun.  We have a few more months before we realistically can begin thinking about an economic bottom -- and hopefully that represents an equities bottom as well.

The Rev was so bored last night that he fell asleep at 8.  Woke at 5 and lurked on LLPP.
The Rev still doesn't have his official visa and alien card yet.  He is living and working on a tourist visa.  Thus, The Rev has no phone, no bank account, nothing but cable and internet at the apartment.  Should get the visa in about a week, then phone, then drivers license.

This is not to say that Korea has been a let down for the Rev.  It's just taking time to get stuff in order that should have been taken care of in the US.

By the way, if anyone on LLPP is a certified teacher and wants a cherry teaching gig, let the Rev know.  There's another American here on a one-year leave who's digging the experience.  School year begins in August.  The Rev will buy the beer.

There are a couple of decent beaches, but most of them are rocky.  The Rev knows about a yacht club, but he has heard for several years that the surfing here sucks.

The only beach The Rev goes to is Haeundae Beach in Busan.  It's OK, but nothing to write home about or to fly all the way to Korea to go to.

BTW, is the smiting sniper back?  I just got dinged, but can't remember saying anything remotely controversial that would earn a legit smiting.
