KS will probably head out to mom KS tomorrow and if it doesn't rain finally get work done that keeps getting put off due to rain every damn weekend.  Then hopefully up to a friends campsite for the 4th, for drinking and blowing things up.

Pep entertained some friends for brunch on Hot Dog Day in Alfred....back in April. Said friends brought along a six-pack of Michelob Ultra Pomegranate Raspberry, which was perfect for the occasion. Pep has enjoyed it a couple times since.

No kidding, tags... same here.  Holiday Week = extra work for SF at his job.  No real complaints though.  SF is keeping it local.  Just some boating and ML's with friends.

pbr --- that sounds great... SF expects a full report when you get back from Caymans

dlippiel is wishing everyone on the LLPP a restful and enjoyable holiday weekend. dlippiel heard "Mr. New York" plans to hang tight in the "518" for the duration of the vacation and show off his Escalade throughout the region. dlippiel also heard that Mr. New York is an RPI alum who has made some "questionable" donations to the new RPI athletic facility.

Pep has published this week's newspaper....AND next week's newspaper  in anticipation of getting out of Alfred next week. While Pep is serving a life sentence in Alfred, on occasion he gets time off for good behavior!  ;)

So Pep is taking Pep Jr. and his friend on a Midwest Rollercoaster Tour, hitting five parks in seven days. Itinerary includes Waldameer in Erie, PA; Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH; Six Flags Great America in Gurney, IL (north of Chicago); Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, MO; and Holiday World in Santa Claus, IN.

En route from Chicago to K.C., Pep may make a quick stop in Whitewater, WI to visit the Warhawks' stadium, a stop in Milton, WI where Pep attended conferences as a teen and where Seahawk QB Dave Krieg played his college football, a stop in Parkersburg, IA to pay his respects to the late (and legendary) High School Football Coach Ed Thomas.

If time warrants, Pep will also be making stops at other D3 college football campuses along the way.

Pep wishes all his fellow posters a great holiday weekend, all! +K

SF had no clue Eddy Grant had dreads...  learn something new everyday.

SF might be "that guy" but we stayed up late last night making an 80s remix for the weekend festivities..  Included was Eddy, Duran Duran, The Cars, Whitesnake... etc.

Ah, the 80s..

A little early morning viewing pleasure on this 4th of July.

KS will be enjoying a couple of eight packs of these.

KS always seems to get drunk faster on the pony bottles, must be because there is only two swallows of beer in each bottle.

On the occasion of the United States 233 birthday let us all take a moment to remember that we are celebrating today because patriotic Americans have given their blood and lives over the years and many wars continuing today so we may enjoy being free.  Also please bow your heads and give a quick prayer for our Marines in Afghanistan who are right now engaging the Taliban in a major offensive push.

Rev was away from his computer for a couple weeks.  It was rough.  Rev had withdrawal symptoms.

After trying to catch up on 10 pages of LLPP, The Rev is tired out.

SaintsFan, I was in SD just for the night to hang with a buddy who works for an airport engineering firm that I might work for when I finally come back to the USA (i.e. depending on how the 2012 election goes).

Dlippiel: My school year is only 155 days.  Scha-WING!  I'm one of those 40% who should be parking cars at a country club, or perhaps working on a wealthy bugger's yacht.  The Rev LIVES for vacation.

BTW, the Rev just bought a book called 1-2-3 Magic because The Rev has NO disciplinary skills.  The Rev plans to organize his classroom like a small boat next year, complete with a Boatswain (class president) and Yeoman (secretary) and deck hands (kids assigned to clean the room).  The Rev is the Skipper and these kids will learn to obey if it kills me.  It will probably kill me.  I'm no match for kids.

TGP: Sorry I couldn't make it out to LA, bro.  My little brother is a little p.o.'d at me, too, for being in SD but not driving up through LA County on my way back to PHX.  But I had to stop in Yuma on my way through--the other direction.

The Rev has been studying his azz off for the USCG Auxiliary.  Rev took a Patrol exam and the first part of a Navigation exam.  Put it about 16 hours on the water.  Towed two boats and pulled one girl in a bikini out of the water after a boat capsized.  Rev also finished PQS paperwork for Public Affairs specialist status and is still studying to take a Marine Safety exam.  So far summer vacation has been more work than work.

Tomorrow (July 5) means a trip back to CNY, and July 6, The Rev will see Zappa Plays Zappa at the Turning Stone Casino.  Shazam!
