We used to have it posted in our locker room too.  It was good for conversation because it was subjective, although a win or loss simply moved teams without looking at relative strength of games.  Nobody would admit it, but we all checked it on Monday or Tuesday (whenever it came out and got posted).

U89 finds it kind of strange that a team would post any type of ranking in their locker room.  Back in the day, if Bagnoli ever even heard us talking about rankings, the entire team was running 100's.

PS - Watching 'Doid run 100's was not a pretty sight.

Anyone want to put up scores for this week's games?

1:00 pm Rensselaer at Union - Union 31 - RPI 17 (just think Union's the best in the league this year and that they're offensive weapons will come back after having a quiet week - SU posters thought their DB's were bad for getting beat, but Gallo smokes everyone)
1:00 pm Hobart at WPI - Hobart 28 - WPI 17 (Bart's D has been playing a lot better the last few weeks except for giving up a handful of big plays to Union and I think the O is improving to the point that they'll have a road "breakout" on O)
1:00 pm Susquehanna at St. Lawrence - SU 35 - SLU 10 (SLU's just not improved this year)
1:00 pm Rochester at Alfred - UofR 17 - AU 28 (assuming Hendrix and Secky are in, if not, it will be very close and Roch is capable of pulling an upset against a shorthanded AU)

U89, We had a board with a few things up there.  I don't know if that's how its still done, but it was a different program back then.  Like I said though, no one would openly discuss it.

We were always #1 so there wasn't much to discuss..... ;)

IC and Union were the games we wanted most when I was there.  Broke through on Union before I left, but I went abroad in fall of 2000 and missed the breakthrough vs. IC (a shutout, no less, although that class at Hobart was the best up until that point and shut out three of their last four opponents that season).

For Bart, it was cracking into that top five, top three that was the achievement back then.

Although JU has other things to do tonight, how many of those in the LLPP have had the Friday afternoon where you might leave work a little early, hit the bar/restuarant around 2-4pm, and then end up looking at your watch realizing its 11:30pm and you can't even walk straight anymore........?

Anyone know what Im talkin about?  Like you just plan on having 1 or 2 beers after work, and then you simply just can't stop?

This weeks lamp will be lit in honor of RPI football alumni!!!

Heading to a hockey game tonight and then a halloween party.  If one had to choose between a white cheddar rapper with grills, bling and appropriate gear or one of the dick in a box guys, what costume should win out?  (dick in a box can't be worn to the hockey game, would have to change later, however as my father in law is a part owner in the team and we're taking his tickets and thus sort of represent part of ownership)

Well Utah dlip got out early today, no school for the kids, so he had a training to attend in the am. Light that lamp LLPP we've got a big one coming tomorrow! dlip feels the U takes the V with an offensive explosion, 38-14. dlip feels Costa and Hermann have some success with the ball on the ground but not enough for the W.Hopefully Union has had enough of underachieving and takes this weekend to let everyone know it. dlip loves this team and believes in his Dutchmen. The bull**** streak stops here, U gets the win....Oh yeah also on the ice tonight. Union 4 RPI 2

Anyone watching the markets today, or was the lamp lit when the S&P hit -25pts?  Go check Bloomberg's website and all the news stories are pretty negative stuff (Wilbur Ross thinks CRE is in for it, NYS possibly refinancing its tobacco debt in a desparate attempt to plug budget gap while undercollateralizing that debt, Duff Capital wasted money for startup hedge fund, CIT's prepack filing though that was kind of expected, this K1 fund blow up in Germany).

Definitely right there with you, JU.  In fact, SF's gf has already requested "not to be as drunk as last Friday night when I show up to meet her and her friends at 10pm tonight at Hofbrahaus..  Fat chance --- she knows what she got into when she decided to be receptive to SF's advances 6 months ago.

Have a great weekend, fellas.  +K

I was wondering if you kind LLPP folk could do me a favor. My dad is entered in an "interactive car show" that a local TV station is running on its website:

http://cfc.whtm.com/voting/vote.cfm?voteid=33

He's the last car on the page, the blue 1952 Plymouth Cranbrook. He's owned that car for almost 40 years! He restored it over six years - probably could have finished faster if not for two Susquehanna tuitions. :-)

Voting ends tomorrow! Thanks in advance! (I'll even throw in some +k for your vote)  ;D

SF just voted... did you ever get to take that car to Homecoming/Prom or something to try out the backseat?  Looks pretty roomy.
