Today dlip is hoping for one thing from the Union Dutchmen, victory. He is not going to get a ****in ulcer  and get frustrated worrying about points scored or the margin of victory that he feels this Union team should come away with. He has learned to accept the U for exactly what type of team they are, a team loaded with talent who is still trying to find consistency and play all four quarters of a football game. Let's go Union!

unionfan senses that today is the day the Dutchmen finally put it all together for 60 minutes and hangs the monkeystomp. unionfan thinks drew will manage to regain his inner chi against a super-aggressive kings point D and the Union D will turn into a turnover machine.

With Susquehanna's win over WPI, for all intents and purposes, Union's playoff season starts next week.

Good job Ithaca.

Wrong league (Alfredos are in the E8), but TGP agrees.

From the looks of things, SRT might be hanging himself tonight.  Navy's up 14-0 late in the 2nd vs. ND.

Looks like MMA does not have lights.....the MMA/Union game is being concluded pretty much in darkness with the 2:30 start.

The question becomes, then, why did the game start at 2:30?  Maybe I missed something somewhere posted but That seems weird

I think it was due to travel.....close game in the 1st half (13-6)....if the game remained close or even went to OT, things would have gotten interesting.

Charlie Weiss completely grosses me out.  Weiss ALWAYS has boogers running down his face.....he just tried to drink a bottled water, again all over his chin & shirt......not to mention, he's a fat tub of goo.

I want Weiss to get fired from the 'Irish', simply so I don't have to vomit when I see him weekly on NBC.

U89 is very happy for Navy.

Here's an interesting stat on Hobart:

Home Games:  Points For:   95,  Points Against:  26

Road Games:  Points For 75 (w/41 coming against WPI last week), Points Against:  97

So avg. PF/PA at home is 23.75:6.5 and PF/PA on the road is 18.75:24.25.

Just bolsters my theory that above average teams perform at least decently on the road.

For those curious, Home games are Carnegie Mellon (5-4), SLU (2-7), MMA (4-5) & RPI (4-4)
Road games are Dickinson (8-1), SUS (7-2), Union (7-2) and WPI (3-6), so the road games were a little tougher on the whole.

I passed up todays GT/Wake game to catch Bart's last home game (I would've had to go with my in-laws for the tailgait at noon, even though it started at 3:30), but it's looking like a hell of a game I'm missing.  If they pull it out they're going to be top 7-8 with Iowa and Oregon losing.

At least I know I'm heading to the UGA/GT game the Sat. after Thanksgiving, which should be a blast.  I'm working on convincing this tailgait crew to do a Mexican theme so we can do a pinata of a bulldog (sturdy of course, which I'm sure a bunch of engineers can figure out) that we can all get hammered and beat the s**t out of before the game.

Can't stand Weiss, plus an arrogant SOB to boot. But please don't let them fire him, I'm anticipating many more years of mediocrity with him. Or replace him with Romeo Crennel or Eric Mangini. At the very least, don't fire him before Michigan fires Rich Rod, so they can get first pick of coaches.

dlip likes Notre Dame but the Midshipmen clearly deserve credit. dlip concurs U89, happy for Navy here. U89 it seems as if Connelly had another tough day with 4 pics. What can be done to help this kid get some confidence and poise? dlip feels Drew is a very talented kid who has a ton of potential. Yet these int's are going to kill Union against a decent team, example; Susquehanna.

I'm starting to feel responsible for bringing those clowns out of their shells a week or two ago.  After reading it all, I'm wondering if its the same guy, or their just giving a circular elephant line to each other.
Yeah, Dew, I said my bit about the column earlier and I have no doubt it was in part a lack of love that my own school has gotten over the years.  Since then, though, I think you've done a great job changing it up and spreading it around.  In fact, the last few weeks it's been better than the NJAC version.  I should note there's been a couple of factual errors on the Hobart/WPI game, but it doesn't matter too much since that game held little significance (other than that Hobart might be starting to figure it out on O and could finish on a four game winning streak, IMO).

One of those dudes is over there just to ruffle feathers.  He brings absolutely NOTHING to any football discussion.  The other guy...well, just read his posts.  None of them make sense.  He's obviously a moron, and probably slammed his head against a few too many lockers.

With that said and done, I am off to a local HS game.  2 teams from this city, last game of the year, playing for the league title.  Expected 10-15,000.  Should be pretty crazy.  It's in a tough area so i'll surely get wanded walking in and hopefully won't get shot walking out.  Wish me luck...

Terd, dlip hopes we coo after yesterdays exchange, after reading E8 board he realizes petty stupid **** on here is just a waste of time, especially with a fellow brethren on the LLPP.

dlip's big game predictions:

Springfield: 38
SJF: 27

Bart: 21
RPI: 17

Del Val: 34
Albright: 21

Alfred: 28
IC: 24

Rowan: 31
Montclair St: 27

Just some thoughts, also dlip feels Suscrotch will take WPI to meet Union for the LL title next weekend here in SHocktown. *By the way grove no disrespect to Susquehanna with the Suscrotch comment, just thought it looked funny. They have cleary earned some LL respect this season.

dlip's picks were ****ing worthless this week, especially regarding the Pride's ass kicking at the hands of Ithaca. Del Val seems to have come out as the clear top team in the region now if you ask dlip. Yet, looking at his picks from this week, he may not even ****ing ask himself now.
