SaintsFan,
Just listened to your telecast of the Hopkins/Thomas More game.....very well done.  I enjoyed your coverage.  Very tough way for your Saints to be eliminated on the FG at time expired.

Congrats on a fantastic season.

SF great job, dlip heard a bunch in and out because his computer is a BIG piece of ****! Sorry about the loss but dlip concurs with U89, congrats on a great season for the Saints!

Thanks guys.. It was a weird day.  I got to stadium at 930am and started setting up.. With the TMC pressbox not being able to "stream" games (WTF), Pat was able to direct me to ustream.com for the broadcast at 1145am.  It was hairy for a bit, as we didn't think we would be able to broadcast until we got lucky with the new way to do broadcasts.

The game was fun, and I was glad to be a part of it.  Johns Hopkins had about 10yards to spare on their GW FG with no time left.. That was impressive.

IMHO, Johns Hopkins is going to give Wesley a game.  They are strong up front with a 305 lb nose guard.

Plan C got you guys on the air today. Amazingly, there were actually two more plans that could have worked, but neither of them are ideal, which is why they are Plan D and Plan E.

Plan D has been used as recently as last December, in the Wheaton-Franklin when the broadcast crew had no reliable internet connection. Gordon Mann called the game through a cellphone and I put that broadcast on the air.

Plan E happened just one time, the Widener-Springfield playoff game in 2000. That day was a disaster because out broadcast provider (BroadcastAmerica.com) actually went out of business the night before and nobody told the clients. That day I had to have Ray Martel and Gordon Mann talk to me over the phone, and I repeated everything they said on a broadcast originated from my house. Kind of a recreation.

Notice the recurring people involved in those contingency plans. :)

Perhaps, but I think that makes you something like 90-for-92. :)

I, myself, would have loved to hear what Plan E would have sounded like  :D

Pat Coleman

For what it's worth, I think Plan E worked alright. Just too bad I didn't think of it sooner that day. And haven't had to use it since, which is good. :)

Haha -- Actually Plan D is something I had to do once...

SaintsFAN

Man, I was Definitely thinking things could have been worse.

I thought we were in trouble when the IT guy said if we had given him a weeks notice then he could have had streaming capability.  This will definitely be discussed at the next Executive Board Meeting as SF has a buddy who sits on the board and was wanting to make sure that doesn't happen again.

Have a great Thanksgiving Dlip.

Not to get technical, or ruin all of the new-found love going around here, but that would be "Have a great ****ing Thanksgiving, Dlip".

I have visions of Pat surrounded by Vaudeville sound props reproducing game sounds while executing Plane E.

Pep provided a Plan F in 2008 when Alfred played at Springfield.  He got the play-by-play from the press box and then updated PP with the play!

Thanksgiving was an event for KS this year.  The last three years KS mom has ended up in the hospital the week before TG.  KS has basically taken over most of the cooking duties for TG for the Stalker family.  The weekend before KS prepared the sweet potatoes and baked 2 apple and 1 mincemeat pie and froze them.  KS gets to momKS early TG and stuffs the turkey and puts it into the oven.  KS then gets other things ready to cook in a few hours and then sits down and has a couple ML's and watches football on TV.

The KS family eats around 6 pm and the turkey came out great.  We clear the table and start to clean up, KS has his frozen pies baked and puts in a couple of Mrs. Smiths pies to round out the pie menu.  After a while KS puts the pies he baked on the table to cool and relaxes for a while.  All of a sudden KS realizes he hasn't seen KS delinquent nephews dog in while.  KS gets up and checks the table and there is Bumpis' dog on the table eating KS apple and mince pies.  KS lets loose with a stream of cursing like he hasn't used since he was a sailor and throws the dog off the table and then discovers that even with a bum leg and back KS still has a strong right leg and the kick he delivers to bumpis' beagle flips the beagel ass over snout as KS is chasing it with a piece of fire wood.  At this point KS delinquent nephew starts to scream at KS and tries to start a fight with KS.  He then blames KS for putting the pies on the table instead of taking blame for not training his mutt and for being a lazy piece of ****.  KS should have let the nephew hit him and then had his ass hauled off to jail and his parole revoked.  KS decided to take the high road on TG in moms house and just kicked the punk and his dog out.

What would the LLPP have done?

u done good KS...it was TG afterall so taking the high road was the right way to do things....would of been a bummer for the family if the 5-0 had to show and haul his azz away on TG. plus pbr assumes you havent gone richard simmons on us and started sweatin' to the oldies so pbr assumes your still big as a f'n house and would of put that dood thru the wall head first if he took a swing at you

PBR...

btw pbr is back in the house....decided to take a little quick getaway at the last second w/ mpbr and the kids. we all needed the time to chill out so pbr is now back and feeling the pain of the dvc loss...had a bad feeling this might happen. funny how often you see a team 1 week where nothing can go wrong and the following week nothing goes right...so alas good on albright as tanner kelley is the real deal qb. albright pbr thinks will be able to score at muc the big challenge as JT is right on w/ his previous posts that you need a great D to at least hold the line against muc and not get down 28-0 by the 2nd qtr. muc will score but dont let them get that huge lead  as kelley is a big time qb. of course easier said than done...
