I stand corrected.  I like Lackey, but if I'm putting a rotation he's a 3rd or 4th starter.  It looks like he'd be #2 to Beckett in this rotation.  Good for the Phils, it looks like a good deal for them.

1)  Beckett
2)  Lester
3)  Lackey
4)  Dice K
5)  Wakefield

IMO....then package up Buckholz in a trade for a 1st or 3rd basemen.

Quick note concerning why MTV likely deleted the punch scene:

From the stories I've read today, the Cortland grad seems to have been warned/bounced for his intoxication level at some point.  He may not have been there when waivers were signed to allow MTV to air footage from their shoot (and obviously, he wouldn't have signed such a waiver after the incident since he was placed in custody).  Somehow, he ended up back in the vicinity and swiped Snooki's drink -- leading to what we saw.  MTV probably didn't recognize this until after the clip package was put together (I know some of MTV's legal team and wouldn't be surprised by the left and right hands not communicating the situation) -- and once the clip reached the public domain, a collective "oops" was probably heard from the executives at the network.

In my opinion, this guy has a chance to sue MTV for the exposure since no waiver was in place -- or that he was in no physical shape to accept such a waiver.  Keep your eye out for a lawsuit against the network by the aggressor, in an ironic twist.

No way - Wake couldn't make thru this season and the reality is any contending MLB team needs at least 7 pitchers.  I'd rather keep Buch than trade him at this point, but we are in desperate need of guys who can hit (1B, 3B, LF and probably even DH -  I am not sold on Papi anymore).

Agreed on Papi......Wakefield has yearly one year contracts with the Sox for very short $$.  Theo has to save somewhere and I think Wake as the #5 is the perfect place to do so.  Looking like Cameron is going to sign to play left.  There is lots of chatter up here in Boston that the Sox are now going to offer a huge package to the Padres for Gonzalez.  U89 would rather keep the prospects for now and sign a Nick Johnson to play 1st and move Voukilis to 3rd.

Outside of bringing in Gonzalez, those moves still leave the Sox a bit weak offensively.....we'll see.

Don't those places usually display a sign outside the door saying that you may be on TV?  They film many different movies and tv shows in town here, and whenever they are filming, there are signs on the sidewalks telling you the street and businesses are open but you could get caught on camera and they don't need your release.

Kinda like they do in Cancun.  Gro and I were on Cancun MTV Spring Break 2000 and we didn't sign a release.  I'm sure these bars and establishments had such measures in place?

I have it on VHS somewhere.  It was on the show Fashionably loud.  Hosted by Rebecca Romijan and Carmen Electra.  We were chilling with Slim Shady, X-hibit, and Dr. Dre, and the band Lit.  We were about 4 1/2 feet under water throwing the shocker up on National TV.  Good times...

"The Angels and free-agent designated hitter Hideki Matsui have agreed on a one-year contract. The deal is worth slightly more than $6 million. The agreement was first reported by The New York Times."

Sad to see him go, and will be sad (and scared) to see him playing against the Yankees. Just a class act, a true professional. Understand that they had too many DH types, and that they wanted to get younger, but will miss him as a Yankee, would have loved to have kept him.

As to Gonzalez, still haven't figured out why in the world the Padres would want to move him, no matter the prospects in return. Great player, low salary, face of the franchise, what's not to love?

Agreed on Gonzalez.....from what U89 has heard though, the asking price is regoddamndiculous.

it was great, I showed my mom the clip when it played constantly in the weeks afterwards.

I remember seeing plenty of warning signs in airports back when southwest was filming their show "lets watch people get drunk and get kicked off a plane"

If they went that route, there are still two problems here:  1) it sounds like the guy had been there for a while (so was MTV even at that location before he got there); and 2) if he was already drunk, can MTV feel comfortable about "informed consent" under the circumstances?  There's going to be more to this...

Can Kurt Warner play any worse than tonite?  Even when he got time, he threw into coverage and made the 49ers look like the 85 Bears.  He was more worried about spiking his hair up when he got to the sidelines than he was about his teams 7 turnovers.  Is Brenda making him do this?  "oh, Kurt, sugar dumplin, you look so young with your hair spiked.. If you keep it spiked, I will know you're thinkin of my crazy ass on the sidelines"

*can you tell Warner just cost SF the 1st round playoff game in his $$ league??  And SF has been drinking, TUE, DEC 15, 2009 style.. I will have to read the MTV mumbo jumbo tomorrow when the reading comprehension skills are back.

Entered my $$ tied tonight in the 1st Round with Bolden to go.  That fumble to end the Cards chances cost U89 a trip to the 2nd Round also.

The Rev is angry at himself for leaving Warner in when he could have put Matt Schaub in.  The Rev thought, "Naw, we'll give the old boy a chance." What the Dlip was The Rev thinking!!!   This one cost The Rev the play-off birth in his league.  Lost by 4 points thanks to Warner going down 3.   Dlipping Warner.  He needs to undlip himself or stick his dlipping head in the dlipping toilet.  Dlipping Guy!
