JT is already dreading the upcoming Super Bowl party at JT's sister's crib.  Back in college and and early 20's hanging out with those that cared more about the halftime show and the ads was fine.  High chance of getting laid post game.

JT's sis and hubby #2 live an hour and 15 minutes away in the sticks of NJ.  Plus, there is now a Brady Bunch mish mosh of people.  We've begged off the last couple of functions out there.  So we are pretty much stuck.

JT is just like his Dad.  He wants to watch the f*cking game.  Except for Dad, JT, and Bro it looks like it will be packed with pseudo fans.  MJT can hang... she's been around JT enough.  It looks like its going to be a lot of yammering and people walking in front of the TV.  Too much talking, not enough watching. Ugh!

And knowing sis, the food is going to suck and there won't be enough of it. JT has the opportunity to go to a nice small party with friends who know how to hang, but its looking like JT has to suck it up.

Hubby #2 thinks we don't like him.  Actually he's OK, its JT's sister that needs to be taken in small doses. If we blow this off, JT will have to suffer Mom's wrath.   And JT will most likely have to leave early... its looking like JT will be on press early the Monday after.

If your sis has the standard modern American house there is probably a tv in every room (or nearly so). Just get Dad and Bro and repair to the one that seems most conducive to good viewing and least likely to show food or beverage damage. Then each of you should make separate 5-7 minute circuits of the party per half so that everyone knows you were there. If you think it's worth the effort you might even try to include bro-in-law #2, just to ease his mind a little. And bring your own food; sis will just have to deal with it.

that sux...pbr is w/ LD ....stay at home have a few peeps (not many) over and lots of food/beer. key is to invite guys who want to watch the game. worst comes to worse just say your tired and w/ the game starting at 6:15 it will be over late and having to get up for work the next day you are just going to hang at home....

Agreed.  This year, SF is watching with his sister, her husband, their 3 kids and SF's dad.   All are football fans and nobody is a douche in that group.   SF used to head out to the big Super Bowl parties with his college teammates but once everyone started walking the plank, the parties started sucking.  JT, I BOL'ed on your "chance of getting laid postgame" --- thats exactly how these parties used to be.  Now, they suck!   

SF would rather watch with those listed above.  And get wasted.

Get ridiculously drunk, with the help of your dad, brother, and even brother-in-law.  Stop at your favorite pizza joint and pick up two large calzones to offset your sisters terrible food.  Shut your self in another room in the house so you can concentrate on the game itself...but come out at half time ripped and make a total a$$ of yourself in front of your sisters "no-watching-the-Super-Bowl" friends.  Hopefully, such an outburst with ensure that you are never invited over there again and never need to watch a Super Bowl uncomfortable for the rest of your life.  I will preference this by advising that you warn Mrs. JT ahead of time.  In the meantime:

- Mom and sister are happy (at least early on) that you stopped over:  Check
- Brother-in-law #2 doesn't think you hate him:  Check
- Get drunk:  Check
- Actually watch the Super Bowl:  Check

JT's Mom is promising that women and kids will be out of the way, leaving the big screen for those that really care.  We'll see.  JT, Dad, and Bro are gonna bring extra beer. MJT will make something.  Hubby #2 should be able to manage the snacks.  He's pretty classy.  He played HS ball. Sister traded up the financial ladder,  from blue collar to lawyer.  JT likes #1, but he was doomed from the start.  As that wedding, JT and JT's Dad looked at each other and we each said, "That poor bastard."

We had number one at under 15 years.... long enough for Nephew to reach 12 or 13.  It was money when it ended at 14.

Haven't determined the line on how long #2 is going to last.
