Shoveled at 11am, 2pm, and 5pm yesterday.  JT is guessing about a 1.5 ft of total accumulation.  JT has adequate liquor supplies.  Had to do a quick shovel job before work.

Also got a lot done work wise spending the yesterday at home.  Less distractions.

have had 2 work from home days in a row...pbr gets more work done in 3 hours at home then in the office for the usual 10...fon doesnt ring off the hook, no one stopping by the desk constantly, etc etc.. would do it everyday if pbr could

Man I hear you on that one.  My office is right next to an open office where everyone seems to want to walk by and talk.  Everyone.

I get them back by being the guy who goes to the copier and then simply walks away if an 'error', 'jam', or other malfunction happens.  Then I go to some other part of the building and use their copy machine.

KS would love to work from home, but Durcheep the Hindian is paranoid that everyone is a liar, dirtbag and thief like he and his son are so he won't let anyone work from home.

Looks like PA is about to spend 2 months in suburban Dayton, OH on a consulting project.  Anyone know anything about Dayton or, more specifically, Miamisburg (restaraunts, bars, strip clubs, etc.) before I go trolling the OAC board for info?

Dayton is a pretty quiet city (SF lives 40 min south of it in Cincy)... Basically if you are looking to go unwind at a bar, you only have the Oregon District (near the University of Dayton).   Not much to eat other than chain restaurants... and thats really all I know about the place.  If you are looking for something to do during the day time or weekend, you could visit Wright Patt AFB Museum.   You'll only be 40 minutes from Cincy, plenty to do down there and an hour and 10 minutes from Columbus.

If you make it down to Cincy, hit me up with a PM and I can direct you/meet you.

agreed pbr was going to suggest the Wright Patterson AFB Museum.  pbr is a huge fan of military planes and that museum is just fantastic. Probably the best air show in the u.s. as well

100% agree about the Air Show ---- Blue Angels are usually in Dayton for that... quite a show

You think?  Danica was very good at running outside of her line in an Indy car and wrecked because she touched someone.   Now SF knows the cars are more durable but still thinks this could apply because her crashes were usually of the variety that would end her day in stock car also.  In addition to this, she'll have some of the big boys coming down to race in the Nationwide ---- will the bumping rattle her?  She's not the most emotionally stable driver in the IRL ....

SF thinks she comes unglued and finishes Daytona with a DNF-crash

Not that give a rat's booty, but listening to my boy Bubba the Love Sponge....Danica has no clue what she is doing and is gonna embarrass herself and potentially hurt someone or herself.

Agree 100% here too.... SF also heard that her car was superior in the IRL... and she's lucky she hasn't hurt anyone or herself yet so far in her career.   She either didn't know or didn't care to stay in her racing lines in the IRL.  She may be cool, calm, collected off the track, but she's shown her temper on more than a few occasions after she's wrecked her IRL car.

exactly whose teams was her car superior over? all the other teams?

as part of Andretti-Green she had a better set up than anyone besides maybe the Penske team.

ummm...your forgetting about ganassi and his 3 cars...and she finished behind only penske and ganassi drivers last year. meaning she beat defending i.r.l. champion tony kanaan as well. what about the new upcoming star driver marco andretti as well? they were all in equal equipment for andretti/green racing yet couldnt manage to beat a woman driving the same equipment. And roger penske is a family friend and pbr will tell you that he thinks she is 1 of the top drivers in i.r.l. (behind his drivers of course)

This may be a dumb question comming from a non-nascar guy, but why don't they just have all the drivers use new cars at the beginning of each race so that everyone is on the same playing field?  If NFL players and teams all use the same footballs, why can't drivers use the same cars?

PBR...

btw some interesting info that could cause the domino effect in college football landscape.... univ. of texas has now admitted they are talking to the big10 football conference about joining the conference.

for pbr it would make sense, give the big10 a huge chunk of state of texas and all those houses. for texas they would make a windfall of cash to help w/ their budget since the big10 channel is a cashcow already and would give them a lot more payola then they are currently getting. in fact univ. of texas was looking into starting its own channel since the big12 channel is so small and limiting.

actually the cars are torn down and rebuilt after each race. nascar does try and make the cars even as possible. each manufacturer in the series must give nascar 1 of their cars so nascar can check numerous things like aerodynamics/horsepower/suspension/etc. so no 1 manufacturer gets too much a leg up on the others.

I wonder what would happen if Nascar simply said one manufacturer is going to be able to use their cars and put it out for bid.

she is a cool cat...in fact after the arca race she was looking for feedback and kevin harvick and tony stewart told her to go for it. they thought she was more than ready. plus dale jr. will be bump drafting her (god why does pbr smile when he thinks of bump drafting danica?) and teaching her the in's and out's of driving in the pack and drafting. dale jr. will be practicing with her and others showing her the ropes. believe it or not she is a very good driver...
PBR- Having Jr as any kind of partner in a stock car can only be trouble.  He shoulnd't even be driving Nationwide, let alone Sprint.

Danica is a hot head and the only reason she spun in the last race is bc she got out of line and tried to make a move too quickly.

She will cause her own rec in this race and I am very glad you took the under.

would lead to nascar folding...the draw and interest has always been the manufacturers competing against each other. people always have their favorite manufacturer and will root for them. This series is a huge r&d center for ford/chevy/toyota/dodge as a lot of things they learn here funnel their way down to the everyday passenger cars. Plus you paint yourself into a corner if that manufacturer you pick goes belly up then what? you leave yourself scrambling to keep the series alive

Did you catch the IRLL race where she pit and upon taking off, spun her tires, did a 360 and nearly injured the next pit crew down the line, while wrecking her car completely.

if it were on a road course reg then pbr would agree w/ ya...but the 1 thing junior knows is the superspeedways. he has always ruled at talladega/daytona/michigan the boy learned that much from his father. he will bring danica along quickly.
