LD if u see this dood take him out!

CASAR, N.C.,  June 16 (UPI) -- A North Carolina man says
an encounter authorities are calling a "suspicious person
report" was not a person at all but a 10-foot-tall creature.
Tim Peeler told Cleveland County sheriff's deputies the
creature he saw on his property in the early morning on June 5
was 10 feet tall with a long beard, yellowish-blond hair and
six fingers on each hand, the Charlotte (N.C.) Observer
reported Wednesday.
"I rough-talked him and said, 'You get away from here,'"
Peeler said.
Peeler, whose home is located northwest of Casar,
N.C.,said the creature came back a short time later.
"And I said, 'Get! Get!' And he went back down the path
again," he said.
The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office said the case is
being treated as a "suspicious person report."
"If we see something, we'll try to capture it and take it
into custody," Sgt. Mark Self said.

dlip just heard this "suspicious person" was seen outside the RPI campus carrying the only attractive female who attends the institution...word is he was perplexed by the girl to guy ratio at the school. He was later quoted as saying: "Who the **** would ever go here when there are 758 males for every 1 female...****hole" :)

758:1 ratio now?  I think that is actually a huge improvement...the guys there must be frothing at the mouth...

PBR: TDT is coming to Philly this weekend for the Twins series.  Don't have tickets yet.  Are there plenty of scalpers outside the ballpark? Do the cops give a sh!t or look the other way?  Take the subway to the ballpark or a cab?  Other recommendations i.e. food, drink, etc. in downtown Philly (staying at the Westin)...

Cheers

There should be plenty of scalpers right in the parking lot outside the ballpark.  I went to a Yanks @ Phillies game back in 06 on a whim, and I had a good ticket at face value in about 5 minutes.  Cops didn't seem to care at all.  I thought the ball park was easy to get to driving in and out...though if you are staying close and plan to drink...maybe a cab would be better.  If you haven't been there before, I think you will be impressed...it's a pretty nice ballpark.

Interesting article in today's WSJ re rearranging college football conference like the way English Premier Soccer is organized:

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704009804575308782794344398.html?mod=WSJ_hps_sections_sports

The Rev has been advocating a system similar to English Premier League for at least a few years now.  Interesting to see it in mainstream, non-sports, press.

No matter what Division I is totally jacked up to its core and needs a neutron bomb to clear the field.

D3 roooooolz!!!

should be plenty of scalpers outside....cops dont care as long as your somewhat discreet about it. re: subway vs. cab...either way is good. the subway will let you off at broad and pattison ave. right in the middle of stadiums. you will have to walk a little to get to the stadium not far though. obviously subway would be cheaper so just depends where in center city your staying and going out afterwards. south st. will be rocking as will delaware ave. if you go to south st. jim's steaks rock for cheese steaks. also have pat's and geno's for cheese steaks. a few blocks off broad st. is a smith and wollensky's in rittenhouse square and ruth chris is right on broad st. just south of city hall. there are tons of good restaurants and bars, philly has been written up in numerous mags about how good its restaurant and bar scene is...lots of ny'rs now coming here since its much cheaper for floorspace to either rent or buy for bar/restaurant instead of manhattan's prices.

Ok terrific thanks for the fast responses fellas.  I am staying at the Westin downtown on 17th Street so I think I'll take the subway to the Sports Complex.  Only reason I asked about scalpers is because that is usually TDT's preferred method of obtaining tickets.  However, I have been to a few parks where they are basically non-existent (I'm looking at you US Cellular Field in Chicago) because of the heavy cop presence and/or being technically illegal in some states.  Don't get TDT started on this.  Let the Free Market work!!!!

Funny thing is that on the North side near Wrigley you can't walk 5 feet when you get off the El without running into a scalper with tickets.  I just hate to buy at the box office (although I think most of the Phillies games sellout including this weekend) when I can get better seats from the guys near the park.

PBR: Just spending Saturday night in the Boogie Down.  Gotta have a cheezesteak.  Which joint is the best?  Do I go for all three?  Any must try grub at the ballpark?  TDT has heard good review of the Chickie and Pete's Crab Fries...

Appreciate the help fellas...

took the words right out of pbr's mouth...u gotta have some of chickie and petes crab fries while in town as well....if you head to south st. afterwards which will be pumping go to jim's steaks at south and 4th st....know many who have done tri fecta of pat's/genos/jims and even thrown in tony luc's as well. those things are huge, you eat 3 of those in 1 night your a mans man....ballpark has fantastic grub, as usual its pricey but good. chickie and petes is located in the ballpark...warning they are awesome and mass quantities of beer will be consumed w/ crab fries.

EDIT: morale of story dont get smashed and get a brazilian wax....

BIRSTALL, England,  June 17 (UPI) -- Doctors said a man
who let friends give him a "male Brazilian" waxing in a pub
nearly lost a testicle when six of his seven layers of skin
were removed.
Joe Cooper, 24, said he and 10 of his friends were waxing
themselves at The Trees pub in Birstall, England, as a
fundraiser for a local hospital and he was the only one brave
enough to go beyond the chest and wax his groin, The Sun
reported Thursday.
"One of the peelers just got too enthusiastic and he was
pretty apologetic afterwards," Cooper said. "I ended up at the
hospital. You can imagine how much everyone was laughing at me.
It was ironic. I was meant to be helping them -- and they ended
up helping me. They told me if any more skin had come off, that
would have been it. I was very lucky really."
Despite the injury, Cooper said he and his friends earned
$4,443 for the Leicester Royal Infirmary children's ward.

Wow, that's disturbing on so many levels. A public body hair waxing as a fund raiser? Male brazilian wax?

I'm gonna throw you some +k because I hate karma snipers, but in the spirit of the World Cup, I'm also giving you a yellow card. One more story about male testicle mutilation, and it will be a red.

I have no skin in the game, as unbelievably I am still a Knick fan, but was Tim Donaghy reffing that game last night?  I think I saw it was about 22 free throws for the Lakers to 6 for the Celtics at one point in the 4th quarter alone...it was almost like watching the Lakers-Blazers Western Conference Finals Game 7 back in 2000.
