JT always liked Haden as a broadcaster.  Seems like a good choice.

SF still has family in LA and the consensus is they need Hayden for his squeaky clean and very smart image... there is about to be another bombshell dropped (perhaps?).  Mike Garrett made ALOT of money by railroading his University's football team into a hillside.  I hope it takes 25 years to get back... and they are on the right track with Lane Kiffin.

Which makes me think... no way does Kiffin and Hayden get along... oil and water.  Start the Lane watch now.

me thinks usc is going to really regret hiring lame kittin....potential for failure is huge here as well as all sorts of violations....hello passengers this is the captain of the hindenburg lame kittin would mr. hayden like a window seat today?

Hayden was the best possible hire SC could have made.  And Pat is bringing over a lawyer buddy of his (former SC coach McKay's son) to be a VP, Athletic Compliance - or something to that effect (i.e., make sure this crap doesn't happen anymore/again).

Kiffin will need to be real careful how he operates under Hayden and McKay's watch.

McKay's Dad was no alter boy at USC.  Hopefully, the apple fell far from the tree.

I'm gonna have to go ahead and boycott the poll on the front page of the site.  Who will win the East next year?  Not one LL team is listed?  I can't say if i'd vote for them or not, but come on???  I understand the reasoning but Ithaca and Fisher were 7-3, Cortland was 7-4, Lebanon Valley had their first decent year like...ever...I don't think it's TOO crazy to think an LL team COULD challenge the East this year.  More than Curry atleast.  What you be smokin?

Which one would you have picked? You don't even have a defending champ we could default to.

That statement is incorrect - as much as it pains me to state it publicly - Union was in fact the 2009 co-champs given they had the same league record (6-1) as SUS.  They lost out on the Pool A due to the head to head tie breaker...The Leagues' website (see link below) verifies this fact:

http://www.libertyleaguesports.org/main/football

That, and the fact Union beat IC last season as well is bringing a very large number of returning players (several key upperclassmen including the LL's leading passer, Coney a 1000+ yd rusher, #1 total offense, etc.), there's good reason they would have merited mention over at least one of the posted teams.

Ha,
You guys bit......PCole was attempting to get some chatter going regarding something on the front page.

What better way to ruffle feathers than to poke one of the most active boards by omitting every one of it's members and including three E8 teams which we battle with annually.

Union really should have been in there BUT looking at the fact that (dlip knows, he knows, but he will compare anyway :P) Union lost to Sus in the LL championship game and then The Crusaders went on to get ****ing homogenized by Del Val in the first round, the LL really needs to make it's case on the field here in 2010 as does the east a a whole.

No offense, but there's only one automatic bid, and that's what anyone outside the league will remember.

And I'm 100% sure you knew what I was saying and where I was coming from. Thanks.
