whew...a good matchup this past week in the LLPPFFL...pbr vs. ld's stains went down to the wire...

yeah man... last week the winning margin was under a single point.  I thought at first that LD's stains got murdered this week though..

it was stephen smith vs. bradshaw for who got the win...pbr got worried when brandon jacobs was all pizzed off and fired his helmet 10 rows up into the stands during the game w/ coughlin screaming at him...figured bradshaw would get all the work/yardage and pbr was sunk

EDIT: intentional or not jacobs is truly lucky he didnt kill someone, could u imagine if he hit a little kid in the head w/ his helmet

Jacobs is acting like an azz, just shut up and earn your position back (if you can).

dlip has had it with Jacobs he just feels Jacobs doesn't have it anymore. Defenses have smartened up to his bullish approach and even with his size his success has continued to diminish. Yesterday was just pure frustration because he knows he is no longer running the ball effectively.

Across 3 FFLeagues, LD is 5-1 so far this year.  The only loss was a manhandling by Regulator who had CJ, Ocho and Roddy White go off in week 1, followed by a stunning 57 point performance in week 2 heading into MNF.  I'll take my odds this year.  I am also starting the finals this week in Fantasy baseball.  It took a few years, but it appears LD may be becoming the new Fantasy Guru.

you got some crazy azz depth on your LLPPFFL roster...definetly the heavy fav....does regulator and 'gro need hall passes to come out and play these days?

Interesting top 25 poll today. Montclair surpasses the 20's into the teens, Alfred moves into the twenties with SJF collecting votes and looking to break in. dlip actually would have Alfred behind IC and SJF with SJF breaking into the top 25. Del Val out of the top ten with a loss at Wesley? The interpretation of this game is going back and forth from perspective to perspective but in the end dlip credits Del Val with a solid performance against a team that would steam roll most in our region regardless of turnovers and/or mistakes. dlip loves the top 25 poll, overall a solid job as usual but questions regarding it are what make us D3 fans tick. :)

Yeah, but the RB situation in the LLPPFFL is stoopid.  Gro really screwed that one up.  Speaking of Gro, I texted him this weekend and got a cryptic message back at like 2 in the morning, so i'm not sure if it is even his # anymore.  Or he was wasted...or kidnapped.  Reg just doesn't play on message boards any more like the rest of us peasants.

LOL...'gro has traded in his engineering degree for waiting for the hale bopp comet?

and reg has moved so far up the mgmt ladder that he is well beyond the serfs and peasants...sad indeed

Regulator

It's been a while since I've been online surfing this site....it seemed slow for a while.  What's up with Utica?  Did they get good?  Regs Dad went to the game so I'll give him a holla and report back to the LLPP.

LD11-
I called Gro's old number (since I forgot to update his new number when he texted it to me) and some confused dude answered.  Isn't there any grace period to when they redistribute cell phone numbers back into the pool?  It's not even like he had a good (easy to remember) number.

Does 'Bart still run that aggressive 4-4 that often brings 4 to a side?

Yep - worked pretty well vs. CMU.  We got 8 sacks in the game but don't expect to have the same measure of success vs. SJF.

I agree with the Montclair jump, since there was a lot of softness in the teams in the 18-25 range this past weekend.  For anyone that had Montclair riding below those softer teams, a statement win against arch-rival Rowan by a large margin justifies a small leap.  It's always funny to vote in the Poll because you don't know if you're acting like an outlier compared to the other voters when you jump teams -- in this case, my jump was in line with the average of what the other voters did.  So, I feel there was a consensus about Montclair's performance.  I swapped Alfred's relative position with Montclair's essentially, since Montclair has a more quality win now that Widener seems to be a soft team this season.

As you've seen in the East Region Poll discussion, the concerns about DVC center around the offense's inability to get on full track so far this season.  If I ding Wesley by two spots in my poll, dinging DVC by four spots is pretty much appropriate if I think a six TO performance is a bit anomalous for Wesley and DVC's offense hasn't fully reached 2009 levels still.  Again, that seemed to be a consensus move in the Poll itself.

I think the biggest challenge for me as a first-year voter is trying to assess the strengths of teams relatively across all regions.  That's been a definite stumbling block every Sunday morning as I vote before Church -- how does one compare Linfield with Alfred right now, especially when Linfield has a loss to a CalLute team that lost this week?  I still believe Linfield is a strong team, but how strong?  If you think it's easy to rank teams across the nation, even just from 1 to 25, I challenge you to play along this season and reassess your own ballot every Sunday in light of the results.  I've spent an average of an hour just ranking my ballot each week -- and that doesn't include the hours of scoreboard/box score reading I did to prepare for the vote.

That's just my $.02...

what is full track? they beat muhlenberg 27-0 which is no slouch of a team and scored 27 points against the #20 ranked team wash&jeff...and scored 17 on wesley the number #3 ranked team....should they beat them all by 50+ and embarrass the other team and coaches....how much more full track does everyone want this team to be? when your winning 27-0 in the 4th wouldn't it be smart to substitute other players in to get them experience and build depth? Look just don't see how "off" track their offense is at this point. Even gordon said they could of beaten this teams by much more if they wanted.

W&J wasn't even in my top 30 this season to this point.  That was a team with a weak SOS that made the playoffs last year as the last team in.  So, to me, that wasn't the most impressive performance for a team I had ranked in the Top 10 at the time.  But one game doesn't determine a team's relative strength.  As I said, it seems like DVC is inconsistent on offense compared to last year, and last year, they lost in the round of 16.  Maybe they improve their offensive consistency in league play, but right now, voters can only go on what they know or see.  This isn't an argument about whether a team pulling 50 points should be in the Top 25.  This is a discussion about a team potentially meriting a placement in the Top 10 -- and we've all said many times that once you go past the Top 15, there's a huge cluster underneath.  DVC has not been classified as having dropped off to that degree by dropping to 13th.  It's great that you support your team, but can you make arguments against the 12 teams ahead of DVC right now?  DVC IS the highest-ranked one-loss team currently.

Do any of the liberty league pp'ers have info on the gameday experience at Hobart? I am planning on making the trip to Geneva this weekend. Is there a good spot to tailgate? Park? Etc. Thanks in advance.
