Just so RPI fans know, the Shoes are doing just fine in Schenectady -- and they're ready to stay there for another year.

pic taken from the stands during the third quarter RPI's fluke victory over nationally ranked Alfred.

Note: The term Fluke refers to anytime one, or a team, is victorious over another, and then the following week they come out listless and embarass themselves against a much lesser opponent.  :P

*RPI tends to have one of these every year  ;D

-problem with recruiting? Maybe, but only as a result of the girl to guy ratio being 150:1. King may be able to promise playing time but not female relationships the rumor is RPi has more blow up dolls per square foot than any college in the nation

wish I'd have known this when I was in college... LD and I coulda been roomies..  and nobody would've heard of Tucker Max bc of the stories..

Where has Superman57 been??

I heard he went back to school to concentrate on his writing skills but since he didn't go back to Fisher and attended a demanding institution (Monroe Community College) his head literally exploded from the increased workload on his brain...

Sorry, Lewis.  This is how Francis rolls:

in da back... and Patron all around..."

It was Media Day for the Shoes Game today.  It was also FR's first trek to the ECAV -- impressive facility.  However, some advice to RPI -- stay at Division III and become a renowned Division III school.  The Capital Region already has Siena basketball and UAlbany football at the upper tier.  RPI would do itself more of a service to tout its extraordinary facilities to D3 recruits who might be enticed by such things.  A lift to Division I would force the school to have to cut out some sports (like Siena has had to do over the past 20 years) and spend way too much to upgrade staffs and a lot of other things in order to be competitive within ten years.  Keep hockey at Division I and don't risk your grandfather exemption -- and for any indication of how bad things can get for small upstate schools contemplating major Division I moves, take a look at Union in the late 1970s.

All that said, here is a picture from Media Day:
