Gro,

Nice recovery!

However, when all else fails, turn-off the monitor.

I always try to remember if they do not know what is coming next - any screw up is known only to you so - if you do not act as if anything is awry no one will be the wiser.

Or, in other words, never let them see you sweat.

NEAR MISS REPORT 1/17/06

Gro was multi tasking, checking the posts while opening an extremely large email attachment. Stupid thing froze up the computer with LLPP opened full screen.

Co worker passing by comes in to shoot the ish... Gro is sweating bullets that said co worker does not cross the plane of computer monitor vision (Gro has the office set up in true holladawg fashion where you pretty much have to sit on Gro's lap to get a view of his monitor).

Blah blah blah... she leaves, computer finally unfreezes, giant excel sheet opens (who emails those anyway?) crisis averted.

KS has his cube set up in a similar fashion.  KS understands Gro's frustration with the large spreadsheet.  Most companies have network drives that can actually be accessed from more than one geographic location.  Put the giant file in the network drive and email me that you have put it there.

KS also hates the people mentioned the other day that barely know how to use there PC.  These are the clowns that do a screen shot of an application and then imbed it in an email so it takes forever to open up and then you can't copy and paste it into the problem ticket.  Did these clowns ever hear of cut and paste.  What a bunch of butt munches.

People who are bad at computers are just frustrating. It's one thing to be a bad typer, that takes a while to learn that. But Gro finds it painful when he's working with someone  like these...

1. people who type things repeatedly instead of using C&P
2. those that know how to use C&P but go through the right click menu instead of ctrl C, ctrl V
3. Similar to #2 people that go up to FILE / EXIT instead of just clicking the X in the right hand corner
4. people that constantly press backspace or delete instead of highlighting and removing text.

Gro stresses the basics people, if these cats played football they wouldn't be able to catch!

Ziggy the parrot is the MAN!!  Thank God we don't have those things in Boston.....doods would get sick of visiting their girlfriends and hearing, "I love you Union89" all night from the damn bird.......

U89 as a member of LLPP you are exempt of computer skill assessment... all of your computer work will be completed by monkeys and half naked cheerleaders.

Union89 that was not directed at anyone here, unless they work for an unnamed Japanese Electronics Company headquartered in Northern NJ that is the current the Plasma TV sales leader and send me emails with embedded objects.
God I hate embedded objects, I want to send nuclear viruses back to them.

Ok....tech junkies.  U89 is in the market for a digital camera.  Getting it primarily for international travel, so size is a consideration.  U89 figured he could get a good deal at overstock.com....main brands are Fuji, Olympus, Canon, Konica Minolta and a couple of Sony's.  U89 figured MP's were most important, but seeing alot of optical & digital zoom comparisons.  Konica Minolta also seems to lack alot of the accessory packages (ie., cables and expansion cards).

Any help would be appreciated...

The one thing that regulator sold in the past year and not bought something better was his digital camera.  Reg is no expert but here are the basics...

Optical zoom- the lens physically zooms in
Digital Zoom- the camera digitally zooms in on the original size.
Stick with SD cards (I had a Fuji that used XD...WTF IS XD!!! besides 3X more money thatn anything else.

I would go to ebay and buy a camera off there once you know which one you like.  Go to best buy or something and play around with them....and for your friends at LLPP, PLEASE BUY A CAMERA WITH VIDEO CAPABILITIES!!!!

Lyco80

Purchased a Canon AS 400, I think, for my son and me for Christmas - priced out at $274 each at Best Buy.  Small, versatile, great resolution and zoom and mini - tiny.  Comes with ubs port and RCA cables.  One drawback - only includes 16 mg memory card - must upgrade to at least 512 mg.

Get yourself a small leather pouch and you are off and running.  Software can be loaded via included CD disc.

We had a blast with it over the holidays and since.

I think it the perfect tourist camera - this thing is tiny.

Hard sometimes with knockwurst fingers.

My camera can make a video for 60 seconds!  I can bangbangbang twice with a nap in between and post it for Regulator.

Gro, so Ive done some research on this "skunkman" you found earlier.  Great find by the way.  Paul "skunkman" Sparling is the head trainer for the Bengals.  In 1981 Paul graduated from Wilmington College in Ohio.  From there he went to the University of Cinncinatti for a masters degree.....the rest is history.  Enjoy.

a skunk man healing bengal tigers... that's something you don't see everyday.

The second picture is a dead ringer for a certain CFO at one of RT's former customers in Boston. When RT saw that pic, he did a double take. This guy was a piece of work...he drank Mojitos.
