Cornell U anyone?

TGP was joking when he typed this one down, but it actually seems to have legs.  Word from Geneva is Hobart is working on a "game" vs. Cornell's "sub-varsity" team.

Obviously won't count in the standings, but could be an interesting opportunity to play upper division players prior to facing off with Fisher on 9/24.

Hobart wouldn't have too much of a problem with the Cornell Varsity team.  Ithaca would scrimmage the varsity every year for one half and it was always pretty close.

I don't know if WW has ever played a team from the North East.

UW-Whitewater reached out to Delaware Valley a couple years ago. But the Aggies couldn't afford the return trip to Wisconsin so it didn't happen.

I can't think when a UWW team played a team from the North East. I found records as far back as 1998, and the closest we've come to the NE was Mount Union.  

A game against Delaware Valley would of a been a good one.

Hobart should make a cross-country road trip out of it.  Drive out to play Dubuque on 9/10, then drive out to play Puget Sound on 9/17.  Then fly back on 9/18.  They could practice every day on the way out to Puget Sound.  Hell, bring a couple history professors with you to tour you around the Ol' Injun Country and the Black Hills.

Hobart should try to play Sewanee because they are both historic Episcopalian schools. It might be kind of fun to take a trip all the way to Tennessee also.

A former RPI FB player ('11) in his Sr. year has passed unexpectedly. 

Cole Rocque was a friend of my sons and had many RPI teammates as close friends.  I understand he was a great kid and my thoughts go out to his family, friends and the RPI FB community.
