KS is watching MLB network and they are showing the 20 greatest games, game number 11.  It is the Bucky Dent game.  Bob Costas is sitting with Lou Pinnella and Dent and they are using both the Yankees play by play with the Scooter and Frank Messier and the Sox with Dick Stockton and Ken Harrellson.  Very good and great to hear the Scooter.

I miss the Scooter, very much.  I grew up listening to Phil.  Got his autograph multiple times.  What a great, friendly guy. A true HOF.

Funny thing is the Principle and Vice-Principle were unavailable all day.  MKS is going to call the prosecutors office Monday to find out what can be done if anything.

No problem, angry and ready to rip someone a new one while I was typing before and did not check context just spelling.  We also found out last night when speaking to a couple of teachers at the school that MKS is friends with that the faculty and staff were not informed by the principal or anyone else, they found out in the paper also.

I am a teacher at the school referenced in this article.  We (the staff) were not alerted about this incident until it made the papers also.  The incident occurred in November and didn't hit the papers until April 2.

Student Charged with Rape

Last week, at a staff meeting, one of the Assistant Principals read a prepared statement to us about how they were protecting the rights of the individuals involved and how they had made changes to the security procedures on campus.  Our concern was that they could have let us know that something of this magnitude had happened at our school, without releasing any names, and thus would have made us more alert.

The biggest issue is that it happened during class hours, when we are in our rooms teaching, so it is not as easy to be monitoring the halls/bathrooms for this activity.

Faculty and staff need to know when something like this happens so they can be more alert and take steps to prevent this from happening again.  I know that we will never prevent all this things from happening but we can always try to be alert for them.

Parents need to be told so we can talk to our kids and let them know that if someone does something like that or threatens them like that they can come to us and tell us.

Well as long as the kid was taken out of the school right away I don't see the huge deal in getting all the facts in order first before kids get labeled as sex offenders.  Of course the families of the kids who were victims should have been advised as well too.

Next week is spring break and then the kid will be back in class again.  With the threats this kid made and his actions he does not need to come back to the same school.  How would you feel if your 9 year old daughter went to this school?

Besides, knowing how the JCBOE works and how the principal of this school works this was done intentionally in the hope it will blow over before school resumes.

It's a shame today with all the politics and **** like that going on that schools can not truly "deal" with kids like these and keep schools truly safe. That ****ing kid should never, ever be aloud to set foot in that school again. If dlip's daughter attended that school he would be quite upset to say the least. KS dlip sends his condolences and feels for you and your family. He also can't believe the staff as well as other parents had to read about the incident in the paper.

In many cases today kids can act in almost ANY manner they choose in school and remain a student of the school no matter what (only receiving slaps on the wrist). dlip deals with it on a daily basis and believe him it is frustrating to say the least.
