Next time, I'll explain my reasons in pig latin, Yanks, since you just weren't grasping them:

that looks like the fake copy on a movie newspaper

For some reason, I really liked that. +K

Thanks to Union for helping provide the video, here's the video overlay of the Salve 49yd FG by Mark Moore from Saturday:

[EDIT: Salve actually released a version yesterday -- I edited both into one, and I've amended the YouTube address below.]

Frank, make sure you stop over in North Andover at Harrison's and grab a LARGE BEEF SAUCE MAYO CHEESE!  LARGE KOOL-AID!  Might make a rough weekend a little better.

LD, apparently you weren't alone since this was in the plans email we got today:

"Friday- Some of us are planning on going to get lunch at one of Klines favorite Roast Beef place, Harrison's It's in North Andover so it won't take a lot of time or travel to get there..."

I see that he graduated from North Andover in 1998.  I probably rubbed elbows with him at Harrison's at some point.  A lot of the surrounding  HS football players used to gather there after the games on Friday nights.  It usually ended in the cops showing up.  Good times.

Believe it or not dlip is pulling big time for RPI today at Merril Field against the Saxons of Alfred. O top of that dlip is hopeful the LL can get at least 4 OOC wins today, the most impressive would clearly be RPI upsetting Alfred.

Today Union needs to go back to basics to be successful against a well coached, improving team in Utica. To dlip, at home under the lights, Utica is the clear favorite.

Union needs to:
-sustain drives on O and keep the D off the field
-come up with key defensive stops
-come out strong in the secondary and play smart D
-keep Benkwitt in check, this kid is quite good
-win the TOP battle
-minimize turnovers on O
-come up with at least one BIG special teams play

It's one game at a time this year for the Dutchmen trying to get back to respectability and gain the inner confidence that they have so obviously been lacking on the field. Again and as always this year alot rides on the shoulders of senior QB Drew Connelly. Last week he showed his usual flashes of brilliance but also turned the ball over again in the air which is unfortunaletly becoming a part of his MO. If Drew can play smart, Union's young runners and line can find some rhythm, and the defense can be kept off the field and step up the times when it is on the field Union may be able to pull the upset. dlip does not think so though:

Utica College: 31
Union College: 24

Looks like a tough day for RPI. Obviously going out to Merril for your first game with a new coach is no easy task. dlip was hoping for the upset here but not today. We shall see how the season goes.

Saints offense is really clicking now.  90 yd drive taking up over 8 minutes ends with a TD pass to Sutton.  XP is blocked.  SLU up 27-7 with 6 minutes left in the game.

Marcus Washington is a beast.  The live stats crapped out at halftime, but he has to be close to 200 yds rushing.  Ethan Sutton has 3 receiving TDs.  The QB, Busharis, has done a good job making the simple throws and letting his receivers make plays.

Norwich marches right back down the field, aided by a facemask penalty, and score on a nice passing TD.  Norwich onside kick goes directly to a SLU player.  Saints up 27-14 with about 4 minutes to go.
