I'll bring the deep fryer.

FYI:
LD11 doesn't play tackle football.  He saw way too manycollar bones come out of the skin(1 is enough).  I can play Automatic QB.  1 blitz per 4 downs.  2 completions is a first.  5 Mississipi's.

'gro

Gro just did the "I have to sneeze but I'll just hold it in" manuver which totally backfired and ended up sounding like a fart. Should I explain that to speaker phone guy next to me or just "keep on, keepin on"?

Lew, tackle football is out. Gro's too old for that ish anyway. How about a RPI vs Union wing eating contest?  Hooters, Ruck, Rusty's or O'Leary's?

Gro - Just "keep on, keepin on"

If bobby continues the NYRGYM routine, bobby may be back into some sort of shape by the next shoes game.  That being said, Bobby would be up for the flag - two hand drag to the ground - alumni game.

If bobby becomes the tourist, bobby will become the aka-haul boy.

... NEVER blind CC anyone on anything

Another reason not to blind cc, the person being blind cc'ed may not realize they were not in the to: or CC: column, and then respond to all - UNCOOL

Reg has done the "not realied you were bCC'd before...totally uncool.

BudCrew...I am not even going to smite you because you are a moron on 2 different levels,
1- you keep defending XM....DO you Fing work for them or something???  I thought this board was about honest reviews here....
Here is a question, 2 companies that do the exact same thing.  Company a & b...
Company A makes 10X the revenue that company B does....who inturn can put that back into the station.....what company do you go with??? (i.e.- Nextel ETC)
2nd- you probably have that picture hanging on your wall.

I defend XM because I have the service and I think it's a great service. I also think that both services have practically the same music choices.... sports is a different matter, but depending on what you like, you should pick which service brings you those sports.

When I say that the services are similar, take a look at the channel listings for each:

XM: http://www.xmradio.com/programming/full_channel_listing.jsp?sort=number
The little doggy company: http://www.sirius.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Sirius/CachedPage&c=Page&cid=1018209032790
(then click on channel guide)

The channels are basically the same, except for the fact that they have different names.
And who says that one company is making 10x more than the others? I'd like to see the figures.

To respond to the second thing: I figure my karma isn't high enough like youse to make a difference, so I figured -1 was NBD. No, I don't have Steve Nash's picture on my wall, jack.

According to Thomson First Call, analysts anticipate that Sirius will post a loss of $0.62 per share for FY05.  The loss is expected to narrow in FY06, on nearly 150% expected sales growth.  Analysts forecast that the company's chief competitor, XM Satellite Ratio (XMSR), will report a loss of $2.75 per share for FY05.  Its loss is similarly expected to shrink in FY06, on projected sales growth of approximately 80%.  XM Satellite Radio (XMSR) is working to exceed six million subscribers by year-end.

Neither one is making money right now!

Thanks fo getting the numbers, but I'm surprised to see them losing $2.75 per share at XM for FY2005. With nearly 6 million subscribers, I didn't think they'd be losing that much money.

Last quarter XMSR lost $132 million on revenues of $153 million.

SIRI lost $180 million on revenues of $66.8 million.

XMSR has roughly twice as many subscribers as SIRI.

SIRI has roughly five times more shares outstanding than XMSR

Garnet noticed his K # has been stuck on a figure he found amusing. Garnet decided to do a GIS for 69 and here is the first picture that came up.

Looks more like a 'random pic of the day' than what Garnet was expecting to find.

Regulator

Garnet,
Maybe you should keep posting hot chicks instead of trying to understand all these crazy numbers being thrown around.

It costs BILLIONS of dollars to get these satellite stations up and running.  Much like ANY busiess (with the exception of LLPP Inc.) it takes a MINIMUM of 3+ years to even break even.

I just passed by the XM HQ about an hour ago (located in the hood) and they have a huge sign that says over 6mm subscribers...

Let me ask the group....
If everything that Budcrew says is true, that both stations are exactly the same, Even the COST, why would you go to one that is not projecting as much growth?

Talk about eating crow.

On that subject BudCrew...

Reg is willing to put up $10 that XM is the first station to drop price.  Care to take me up on the offer?

Being the NYRGYM guy - bobby tried one of those elliptical/glider type machines today.  Stayed on for maybe 10 minutes and determined that it wasn't doing anything for bobby.  Had to shift back to the stair master & treadmill.

Did bobby pull the trigger to early?  Do those things work?

FYI - bobby uses the k sparingly, and tries to claim any +K and smites that bobby dishes out

Reg, I'll hook you up.  THere have been closet smiters all around these here parts lately!  I'm outty, have a good weekend ladies.

the analyst at Sandler Morris says, " looking ahead, we believe Sirius will guide year-ending 2006 subs to well over 6 mln, which doubles its current base. They model 3.3 mln net additions in 2006, to a total base at year-end of 6.4 mln subs.  Firm says overall, their checks and analysis of financials lead us to be particularly bullish on the health of the satellite radio industry."

That is some pretty good growth!
