You guys are killing me with your comments, work filter has censored the clip, I have no idea what it is about, can't wait to see it.

Go home, crack a beer, put your feet up on the table, and let the good times roll.

Here's a teaser...

This line is even funny after watching Upstate's YouTube clip!

OK Frank.... Union has not declared for the ECACs this year. I'm DYING to hear your reasoning.

I actually was part of the discussions regarding this.  Even if the ECAC North subregion were to allow for 4 games, it would be mathematically impossible for Union to make it into the ECACs this year.  There are too many E8, ECFC and NEFC teams with less than four losses -- and the ECACs generally follow a W/L record selection process.  There was no need to create administrative issues, and John Audino is part of the ECAC Committee -- meaning that he would've had to fall off the conference call for the entire time if Union were a candidate.

It's not like when Ithaca had two or three losses and chose not to take a game they would've been entitled to, Max.  Good try, though.  The standings are linked off the front page last time I checked.

Frank, could you regale us with the 1999 ECAC story again? Also, please mention every instance of Ithaca posters trash-talking Union. I've been meaning to slip into a coma, and that might do the trick.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go look for footage of the time our teams met in a real playoff game...and we sent you home.  ;) I'll find the 2005 clip too, so we're on equal footing. Nah man, just kidding. Seriously though, the ECAC's suck. Really. They're awful. We'd be better off just scrapping them. I mean, seriously, who actually has fond memories of ECAC games? I remember everything, and even the two Ithaca WON sucked

I wasn't really interested in pushing the issue either, but I would like Frank to explain further why Union hasn't declared to the ECACs this year.

That was the SHTttiest second half I've ever suffered through. The Rev would like to gripe that a couple pass interferences weren't called, but really who cares? Hobart chucked the game away and whatever penalties they could have drawn are meaningless. They gave up the game. I mean they just gave it away like a prize in cracker jacks. I'm so pissed right now I can't even begin to think about sleeping even though it's almost 4 a.m. Here.

F*ck Hobart, why don't you write an invitation to the playoffs for RPI in your finest cursive writing on pink notepaper and maybe spritz a little perfume on it, too, while you're at it? A$$holes.

Hell, do us all a favor and roll over and play dead for Rochester next week like you did in the last three quarters of today's game. Clowns. Don't go to the playoffs because sanitary napkins and tampons aren't provided by the NCAA.

The Rev needs to go find something to break.

Maybe I'm wrong, but the only two teams that can win the LL are Union and Hobart.  If Hobart wins next week they're in...

Frank figured out a scenario whereby RPI would win the tiebreaker if about 5 things all occurred.  We'll have to revisit that with this result in the books.

EDIT: Union needs to lose to MMA, so unless the Dutchmen blow their halftime lead RPI will be fighting for an ECAC bid.

Union would have to lose today.  This is their last conference game.  They are winning right now and likely finish 5-1 thereby eliminating RPI.  Of course maybe Union will lay an egg after half.

The worst part about the whole game is that RPI Played a really bad game. Tons of mistakes, horrible play calling, just crap. Luckily for them, Hobart played even crappier.

Seriously, if you had heard the game your minds would be boggled by some of the worst football ever. The only thing that really impresses the Rev is how any team could sustain such a constant flow of raw sewage quality football.

How does a team get 30 first downs and lose to a team with half that many?

Did the Rev mention that Hobart's kicker pretty well sucks syphallitic mastodon labia?

Hobart blew that game so bad it was disgusting.

Couple things from my phone:

-Bart wtf happened today?

-congrats to the U for taking care of buisness today. Union has fought back from a dismal start to show a ton of heart. A W next week would really be a great achievement for THIS team! ****, dlip may just get a new U sticker for the truck!

An absolutely spectacular finish to the Del Val - Lycoming game. After Lycoming scored a touchdown with a little more than 1:00 left in the 4th quarter to tie the game at 21 - 21, Del Val got the ball back with just 0:58 and marched 54 yards in just 0:45 (against that defense on the road) to take a 28 - 21 lead with 0:13 left on the clock. On the ensuing kickoff, Lycoming had multiple laterals and got down to the Del Val 6 yard line before fumbling.........WHAT A FINISH!!!!

On the final drive, freshman QB Aaron Wilmer completed a 15 yard pass on third and ten, followed that up with a 15 yard pass on first and ten and capped the drive off with an 8 yard run for a touchdown.

Two big differences between the teams in my opinion..........Del Val put up 380 yards of offense against a very good defense on the road (didn't see that coming) while Lycoming had 280 yards of offense.

Del Val freshman QB Aaron Wilmer was 17 - 34 for 263 yards and 2 passing TD's and 1 rushing TD. Klinger was 15 - 28 for just 123 yards and 2 TD's.

The other difference was on the defensive side. Both defenses were solid against the run.......3.3 and 3.7 yards per carry, but the Aggies defense had 5 sacks and several hurries while Lycoming had just 1 sack.

Lycoming has a very good team and is very tough at home. My biggest surprise is that the young Aggies offense, who will be returning everybody of consequence in 2012, scored 28 points and drove down the field in 45 seconds to score a touchdown.

Hats off to both teams........great game. Congrats to the Aggies.......enjoy the ride home, have a great night and let's get ready for Widener. This will be the MAC game of the year.......if not past several years.

I'm proud of you for a great victory!! Shout out to Kate, ZeroMischief and dc21 (better see you next week!!).

Have a great night........the steak will taste that much better at The Freight House in Doylestown tonight!!

This won't happen again...will it?

Will the LL actually get another 5-5 team in the playoffs? Look, props to Union for turning it around, but seriously, if we get another situation where a LL team goes 0-4 OOC and makes it as a Pool A...

I mean, I doubt it will happen. Hobart should beat Rochester and I think Union has a real good shot to beat Springfield, but, and I'm not trying to get on Frank's bad side here, this would be a bad thing. Union's playing better than they were, but I think it would look bad to have back-to-back seasons with a .500 team as a Pool A bid. (Not to mention, I think Hobart is the better team)

I'd still take them over Maritime or Norwich, but I just look at a possible 5-5 and shake my head...

Someone please explain how Justin Gallo ended up with this ball for a touchdown:

The Rev calmed down and managed to get some sleep.  Really disappointing, but contrary to earlier statements, I hope we beat Rocho next week and go to the Playoffs.

The Statesmen had just better not play like that again, or else the LL will keep its reputation as one of the lesser leagues. The Rev wants whoever is truly best to represent the LL in the post-season.

As much as I love the Dutchmen, I tend to agree. It certainly wouldn't be great for the LL as you mentioned, but the program as well.

Now, on the other hand, as a player, I could care less, I would love to play in the NCAA's, even it were to be thumped by Mt. Union.
