Not football related but dlip's wife successfully gave birth to our second daughter this morning. A new Union fan was born today, Olivia Maria (Garnet) Lippiello. Dlip swears she yelled "Go U," as she came out.

Congrats dlip, I'm sure she'll look good in her garnet onesie.

If I were still in the US and working in the engineering department, I'd have trashed The Bulge Building above.

Whether that building was designed as a result of the lowest girl to guy ratio on earth or because of the Big Bang Theory type student body on campus there is absolutely no excuse for that ****ing debacle of a design. But then again it is located in Troy so if you are going to build the ugliest ****ing building in the world you might as well...

The Rev is in Guam for a week of training with USCG. Great opportunity because stars aligned and my commander was sharp enough to notice and act on it. The Rev was sharp enough to say yes to the training docket. All expenses paid. Training as much as we can. Since we hope to launch our boat at 0700 for an 0800 mission start time, inherent swear that I will not stay up for the Hobart-Rochester game.

Too bad the game wasn't Friday afternoon (EST) because United boned my connecting flight by over three hours. So I was awake during prime game listening hours...a day early.

Best of luck to Hobart for our first 10-0 season ever.

Good luck also to everyone else. I hope the Shoes is an exciting game.

Did Hobart's QB get hurt? I see another QB is in.

Nature called at 5:30 this morning. It allowed The Rev to watch the live stats in the 4th quarter.

Union wins the Shoes game in overtime with a 31 yard touchdown pass on 4th down and 16 from the RPI 31. RPI got the ball first in the OT period and  failed to convert on a field goal. Union got their chance and couldn't get a first down, in fact losing 6 yards on 2nd down. After no gain on 3rd down the Dutchmen with nothing to lose since RPI came up empty with their possession, went for it on 4th down. Connor Eck completed about a 20 yard pass to Kyle Reynolds who went up, grabbed it, shook off the defender and trotted in for the last 10 yards and the score. Final was 34-28.  Another fine game on a day of close games. (exception SJF-Utica)
