The Rev wishes he were in New York this weekend. It's already Saturday night here in Korea. Can't stay up for the game. Maybe I'll wake up toward the end. Come on, Bart. Pull out the stops and beat Wittenburg!
I really want to see Bart make it further than last year. I think this team can do it.

agree with dlip, go get them.  looks like a 4 vs 5 matchup which would seem to be a toss up.  st thomas brings a strong d so this could be a slug fest.

Congratulations to Hobart Lines for  awesome performance today in  35-10 win . Team has surprising depth, with Strang going down for awhile, Olney was steady on a tough weather day.Webb is moving into high gear at the right time in the playoffs(nice 57 yard scamper for TD) . This team is capable of winning against St. Thomas if they play with discipline and limit turnovers against a tough St. Thomas defense. Looking forward to  some interesting play calling from Hobart coaches(Nice flea flicker today!). Defense should keep them in any game. Horace Greeley said it best "Go west young man and grow up with the country". This will be a growth step for the program, if they can win on the road against a quality team like St. Thomas. Maybe upset pick of the weekend??
Wittenberg obviously missed starting running back, and weather hurt Florence passing game, so no big comeback this week, although last week vs. Heidelberg was truly classic. Witt should feel very good about their season.
By the way, the refs in this game looked like NFL replacement refs with a few missed calls. Luckily, no impact on final outcome.

How psyched was The Rev when he woke up this morning (Korea time, Sunday 8 am) and saw that Hobart won decisively 35-10?

Very psyched.

The bummer is that I have no one to share the joy with.

Well, tonight The Rev is going to a Thanksgiving dinner, so I'll say a word of thanks for this victory. I feel like Hobart has really announced to the world that it is a real contender.

Bartman

The Rev should feel very thankful and then think about pulling an all nighter next week.

we'll have to ask Coach Cragg about the officiating tmw night (i thought they were awful and made a lot of bad calls, especially on Hobart, but like you said, didn't play into the outcome).  cragg's scheduled to appear after we review the highlights of today's game.  also have a request into STU so we can learn more about their team and preview the next round.

Depends on the state of my blood pressure.
I get pretty worked up about these games.

Congrats Hobart -- please beat the #$%^ out of St. Thomas!

It will probably be a defensive struggle for both teams.  Still, Hobart has a legitimate shot in this one which is exciting for them and the East IMO.

Hobart has a real shot at beating St Thomas next Saturday. St Thomas is a great team and a perennial powerhouse, but Hobart has a very special team this year.
I think the only thing that can stop Hobart is themselves. (Sorry for the awkward grammar.)

Proud of my Statesmen.

Way to get the "W" Hobart. We have a legit contender in the east this year with a "balance" offense, tremendous defense, and solid special teams, all the necessary receipes to win a national championship. Good Luck Next week. Let's continue to prove the rest of the regions wrong.

What a day.  Great win Bart.  Period.

December football for the Pumpkinheads!
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
