Marpet covered my MMQB, describes eating 7000 calories as "a job," nice work if you can get it

The food service at Hobart took a hit to profits with Marpet the last 4 years. NFL Day at Hobart will have a buffet table set up to maintain his energy level. WhittFoot gets powerful hungry...  ;D

I just read in this mornings Albany "Times-Union' that coach John Audino may be leaving Union to join his mentor and close friend, former Union coach Al Bagnoli's staff at Columbia.  I for one would be lying if I didn't admit that I thought coaching failures were in large part responsible for Union's on the field decline in recent years so I'm certainly not adverse or surprised that Audino would step down at Union.  Maybe reuniting with Bagnoli at Columbia would be best for both men.  I applaud both coach Bagnoli and coach Audino for all they did for Union football.  I am now officially also a Columbia fan.

Yeah, but joking aside, Marpet consuming 7,000 calories a day is a lot different than what you or I would do if someone told us to do that. I work for a magazine that publishes a lot of articles on sports nutrition, and from the dietitians and athletic trainers that work with these athletes, it's a lot harder than it looks to consume that many calories when you need to monitor energy levels, muscle recovery, and all that stuff. You can't just scarf down crappy food all the time.

Kevin DeWall of Hobart named as the new coach of Endicott. Good luck to Kevin, he has been a HUGE part of the Statesman football success since 2000. Hobart will miss Kevin big time......oh,oh will need to watch his trick plays this coming season ;)

Yea this seems kind of strange.  I'd give any coach a 15% chance of success at Columbia, unless there is some sort of deal saying that Bagnoli isn't going to get fired no matter what and Columbia has simply accepted their lot in the IVY league football life.

Here's a very good take from this morning's Daily Gazette regarding Audino and Union Football:

Seriously.

"So Union faced two scenarios - firing Audino, or not firing Audino but leaving everyone to contemplate, if Audino isn't the problem, then what is?"

Great question! But no attempt, even, at an answer.
