LLPP NEWS FLASH
After a brief investigation, LLPP crime#2006-02 has been solved.  At 10:31 am this morning, Budcrew turned himself in as the smiter from an early morning smite incident.  He has been found guilty of the following crime:

1) Smiting a LLPP founder witout warning or reason.

We would like to thank all those involved in solving this investigation.  A punshiment will be given and is described below.

PUNISHMENT: Being a Utica Football Fan is enough punishment, therefore no further punshiment will be given on this first offense.

Dawg, please let me know if you want to reopen Case #2006-02 in regards to last nights smiting incidents.

"Emory College was closed briefly during the American Civil War; in November 1861, academic activity virtually ceased after its students had left to fight in the conflict. During the war, the college's buildings saw duty as a Confederate hospital and Union headquarters. Sadly, the library and other stored equipment met destruction."

If there are any Civil War historians out there, I would love to find the names of any Union soldiers who helped in the destruction of this school.  An LLPP Badge of Courage will be awarded to soldiers who were a part of this glorious event.  The color of that medal will be scarlet and brown in honor of St. Lawrences University's official football colors.

According to Wikipedia, there was no destruction at Emory & Henry during the war.
"The Federal prisoners at Emory and Henry College Hospital appear to have been treated well by the Confederate staff. One soldier said that he "was treated first rate while in the hospital." The board of trustees at Emory and Henry College met on November 12, 1864 to discuss the running of the hospital. They stated that the grounds were well taken care of; in fact, improvements were made to the facilities during the war. Unlike many schools during the Civil War, Emory and Henry College suffered no structural damage as result of the war. The only damage done in the hospital was to furniture and was repaired or paid for by the Confederate States of America.

Senor RedTackle

someone took RT down a peg, eh?...just when RT was enjoying 115

JU,

RT suggests we open a separate case because it apears there is 'copycat smiting' going on. We seem to have a mole in the ranks and we must move to battle stations. As de facto wardon of civil defense for LL,INC RT is officially moving us to DEFCON 3.

Remember folks...we are on alert and RT suggests you treat this as 'wartime conditions'. Trust no one. Demand passwords and counter-passwords. Be suspicious of unusal posting or commentary that "just doesn't add up". The enemy has eyes and ears everywhere so vigilance is the standing order.

Avoid the clap!

Garnet, we were talking about Emory College, not Emory and Henry College in regards to the article Dawg posted yesterday.  Read it if you want to be angry and beat someone up.

'gro

'GRO KNOW'S THE M.O.
This looks like a classic case of someone jealous of LLPP's stature on the posts. #2 in total posts (for another 2 weeks before we claim the top spot.) and home to some of PP's indiv. statistical leaders in posts, online time, and of course KARMA.

Someone sees a BMW parked on the street, they reach into their pocket, pull out their Ford Festiva key... and scratch up the bimma.

JT

JT reserves his smiting for the humorless dolts outside of the LL.  JT probably hasn't smited in a couple of weeks.  Nothing much going on outside of Del Val and the Linfield QB.  The NWC room has practically cannonized the dude... YAK!

Garnet

JU...Garnet stands corrected. Sorry about that.  Still an interesting read on that Wikipideia site though.

Garnet gave some K to everyone on this page....
