I mean, it's a noteworthy stat.  No team has scored double digits on them all year.  Is that not something for a team to be proud of?

Not really.  It was the backups who scored 2/3 of those points.  I'd be proud if I were Sean Richardson and the 2nd string offense (assuming that is who scored the 16 points in the 4th).
It was a strong performance against the Mount's second team(the rest of the OAC couldn't do that!). BUT, in reality, the Saints starters were overwhelmed by the Raiders as they scored TDs on the first 6 possessions... then the Saints  toughed out the  first score......the Saints first string defense did get them to punt twice in the first half. Regardless, the Raiders are a different level and it was sad the Saints didn't get a fairer first round game to evaluate the LL Champs before the sacrifice.

Exactly, it's not as if I'm celebrating a loss.  Trust me it sucks seeing your alma mater get beat like that, but this squad was 0-10 3 years ago and had the best QB in school history go out with in injury in the first half.   They extended their streak of forced turnovers in a game to 34 and just had the best season in school history in 40 years!

Congrats to RPI on a great second half performance beating a tough Buffalo St. squad 20-13. Nice win for the LL in an entertaining ECAC matchup.

Dave McHugh tweeted last night that Ithaca to the Liberty was official. (See Emipire 8 thread)

Still will leave the LL 1 team short of AQ...anybody hearing any other teams in the mix?

You have to admit, makes the LL much stronger. Adding Ithaca and dropping USMMA, WPI, and Springfield boosts the overall strength. However, who will that last team (or 2) be? And does this mean 4 non-conference games or only a 9 game schedule? Also, what happens to Cortaca?

Sorry, i can't believe the season is over. I like talking football.

Nothing will happen to Cortaca. The teams played when Ithaca was an independent and when Cortland was in the NJAC

I don't doubt the game itself will go away. I mean more from a scheduling standpoint. Cortaca takes place in week 11 each year, but the LL has traditionally scheduled league games weeks 4-11, with a bye somewhere in between. It really only takes one other team to either have a bye, or a non-conference game in the last week.

Well yeah, but with 7 teams, it's an easy fix, and even with eight, I'm sure the LL and Ithaca can figure it out. The E8 saw a way to make it work

Totally agree that adding Ithaca strengthens the league, but hopefully finding the seventh will not take too much longer.
