Ali Marpet, gets drafted in the second round and then is the starting RG for Tampa Bay....now is selected for  NFL  All Rookie team (http://www.fingerlakesdailynews.com/news/details.cfm?clientid=16&id=204130#.Vqd74OlLJhM). My Giants are keeping an eye on him when his contract is up....What a story and what a role model..he is truly a humble , hard working yet a very confident young man.....GO BART!

I think the Patriots need him more.  (A d3 player as head coach with two former d3 players as coordinators doesn't hurt either!)

Agree after Sunday they need help on the line. I have not seen Tom beat up that bad since the Giants ended the perfect season in Arizona. The Pats were interested in him and  some say the Bucs traded up to make sure New England did not pick him with their next pick(those were the rumors) but the Pats did not pick any OL after Ali was available, so not sure that was true. The DC on the Pats had a beat on Ali thru his contacts . Ali may be a true All Pro by the end of his contract if he keeps progressing, so I don't think the Pats will pay the bucks at that point. I see an aging Eli with the protection needed by then ... Brady will be on the beach with Gisele deflating Beach balls with his kids  ;)

You guys seem to be forgetting that the Bucs also have a pretty decent looking QB of their own who's going to need protecting. I suspect that they'll hit the hip to keep Marpet if the price isn't way out of line.

Very logical and probably true...and the Bucs are in a no state tax state.....really hope he just stays stays healthy and has a long successful run...although playing for the team you rooted for as a kid could be pretty cool. Word is Ali is saving his money by rooming with his brother and buying a Honda.....not your typical second round pick

Congratulations to Mike Cerasuolo, the new Springfield College Pride football head coach following his tenure as offensive coordinator under Coach Mike DeLong.

I see schedules popping up here and there...Any big changes for anyone's teams?

I like that the Hobart vs Ithaca game shows a 7pm kickoff!

dlip echos Mr. Rossi's congrats of Coach Mike Cerasuolo being hired as the new HFC for the Pride. Anyone who knows dlip knows he mother****ing sweats the triple option offense something fierce! dlip holds Cerasuolo in very high triple option regard along with fellow triple option geniuses Mike Delong, Kenneth Va'a Niumatalolo, and Paul Johnson (among many others).

dlippiel

Not a BIG deal but dlip is curious why there is no write up on Coach Behrman getting hired at Union on "Coaching Carousel" front page of the site?

Bueller? Bueller?

There won't be a new team in 2016 and prob not in 17 either. Maybe by 2018 which is when the AQ bid is good up until. If no team by then, LL will be in trouble but I'd be surprised if the league doesn't have a program signed up before that deadline comes up.

Too bad. I hope the teams find a 4th OOC game to make a 10 game schedule. Not always easy to do.

I would argue that the LL may not be in serious trouble, as long as the pool B allotment is adjusted (which it has been even recently).  It appears that the NCAA has been fair to leagues/teams that require pool B and C bids to make the playoffs.

The only question would be if a 2010 happens again.  Would a 5-5 LL champ get a pool B over a 2nd place 7-3 team in the ASC?  Would they deserve it or does that even matter?
