Hobart beats Endicott 42-20 with a tale of 2 halves. First half Hobart up by 7-6 with poor execution on offense as Sweeney passes for 53 yards with dropped passes , overthrows and some bad routes. Co Second half is very productive(although not perfect with a pick 6 by Endicott) as he passes for 300+ just in the second and half and Endicott has no one to cover Shed. Hobart has a great passing game but still some confusion and bad execution at times. I think they are still learning offense as receivers keep checking their wrist bands and a few miscommunications on patterns.Coach Drach has really challenged the team with the offense(AirDrach) and they certainly have the talent ....if they execute this offense will be almost unstoppable, at least at the LL level(yes even the Larries).   The defense has been good enough , but missed Jemison today on run stopping.  They still need some development on both sides of the ball to reach potential especially against a solid Ithaca defense next week.

SLU opens the year with consecutive shutouts taking down Norwich 52-0.  Still had some penalty issues, but the defense was suffocating.  44 total yards for Norwich.  Ferraro and Gallagher were great targets for Richardson today.  Special teams came up big as well.  All around great performance, looking forward to Endicott.

Hmmm,  Booby...a very accurate forecast on your part ;D ...a bit of a homer LL forecast on my part this week...disappointed by RPI but they did make a comeback( Alfred looks pretty  strong) and Uof R...but hopefully the Dutchmen will pull it off....just had a pick 6 for 28-13 lead and the defense looks good

I'm excellent at making predictions after the fact!

I don't blame you for homer picks whatsoever.  +k for the home conference pride.

Defensive touchdowns taketh away...and sometimes they giveth.  ;)

Congratulations to Union for breaking their losing streak. A win they deserved.

Decent week for the Liberty League...the Larries are 80-0 in scoring and the Dutchmen hang their heads no more...

Holy ****! +k to the board!

A very gratifying win today by the Dutchmen. I feel vindicated from some of the criticism of the Union staff I have spewed about the last few years. Jeff Behrman's staff has corrected so many of the recent deficiencies. Today we saw a well coached team that had only 2 penalties, zero turnovers and very few mistakes overall. They looked motivated, spirited, prepared and confident. The play calling was solid and did not over reach the offense's capabilities like the previous "big play" approach. Most importantly to me the special teams play was superb. Kick coverage was aggressive and swarmed to the ball. Punting was excellent and the place kicking, well 4 for 4 on conversions. Congratulations coach Behrman and staff and to the players. This was the best all around football played by Union in years.

Well said Bill! Great to see you today pal. Have a good week and see you next Saturday.

WestConn should have won that game.  they gave them 28 points with those two turnovers.  Should have been 41-14 WestConn.

5-3 isn't a bad weekend. Surprised / disappointed a little by the UofR and RPI scores but rest kind of panned out like I thought they might. Very happy for MMA and UNI fan bases for big wins. Watched the entire second half of the Sec Cup and it was a very entertaining game. Mariners may knock off some other teams with this new QB and the strong FBs they have. CGA QB is good so credit the Toop D for making plays to hold them back in 2nd half.

Saints 80-0 shutout streak is best they've had since 83. This could be the year we see two LL teams in the playoffs if things pan out like they may....
