D O.C.

Bartman + for bringing Mariah into the game.  Here I though all eligibility was used up - by 1962.

I thought I was reading The Tempest.

Random thought just popped in my head.

I wished that when Ithaca was applying to the Liberty League, Hobart would have made a stipulation that Ithaca would have to add hockey as well.  I think IC would do well if they put some effort into a program like Hockey.

Sweeney is a great player but I think Johnson had the edge on him. Either one would have more than deserving.

I don't believe its fair that only two of the East Region QB's got a shot at that UMU secondary.  To level the field, all of the top QBs in the Region should get a chance against them.

Not sure how to respond to this - talk to the bracketologists (?).

We were actually hoping Sweeney would have been the only East Region QB UMU faced....it was a richer yardage environment than expected ....unfortunately the defense could not force the 4 turnovers that JCU did...

Congratulations to St.Lawrence's Chyron Brown-Wallace(DL, First Team D) and Mitch Gallagher(TE, Second Team O) for representing the LL on the AFCA 2016 All America Team. Well deserved for both men. Although, I was disappointed that Hobart's WR Brandon Shed didn't join them on the team, but lots of competition at WR .

CBW getting a 1st team award was no surprise, Gallagher making it kind of was (for me anyway b/c LL normally does get much love on a national level). Withers from HOB is comparable to Gallagher IMO, but Mitch did have more catches, yards and TDs (plus he's a SR which doesn't hurt). Both are talented players regardless.

The kid from HW did have excellent stats, but that team didn't accomplish much if anything this season. Maybe that makes his stats more impressive, but you could argue the opposite. Sweeney also had several other top targets like Pfohl, Zach and Sean C so Shed's stats are even more impressive IMO b/c of that. Hopefully he'll land on the D3FB AA team somewhere.

IC introduced their new HC. Seems like a good guy, former Gagliardi finalist and good coaching resume at top academic schools. I do think he's taking a bit of a leap of faith that the LL will keep its AQ playoff access, but that's another story.

I think we've discussed this a few times before, but they don't really need to keep the AQ. All they really need is to be the only league without an AQ and have a couple hopeless and helpless independents floating around to guarantee one Pool B. The AQ is a better solution, but the other option is pretty much a reality right now, giving the LL a defacto AQ until something changes.
