I want to strongly suggest that this was a BAD idea. Don't take your inside jokes off the board into real life. Only makes Division III look stupid. So does inviting people to the Liberty League board. You might enjoy your bull****ting among yourselves but you probably look like fools to those on the outside.

Dawg....the Guru has spoken.

Regulator

Guru,

Reg wouldnt be so sure of that.  While I understand that there is a lot of BS on this board....99% of it is stuff that everyone can laugh at and add to.
When it is time to talk about something worthwhile, like FB....we can do that too.

Don't hate the Dawg for putting D3FB.com on the map.

'gro

Gro sees the Guru's point, but when you think about it... 98% of the internet is crap anyway. Everyone's a writer now. So instead of the LLPP members having, say, a myspace account... PC graciously lets us blog the hell out of one little corner of D3.com.

But lets get to the bottom line here folks, the Guru is not pleased... there must be a goat sacrifice!

Naked Nott Run

It was an ignorant article and needed to be made into a joke NNR feels. The guy wouldn't respond to anything anyone said and he watched football at Pudget Sound 1 time...Why would anyone take a no name writer serious??? NNR could see why this would be a big deal on ESPN or something like that but not on an article that might get 20 hits

Look at the closing line

Puget Sound didn't teach me much, but I did learn one thing. According to UPS, Brown can do a lot for you. For Emory, Division III football can't do s--t.

No one would take this guy serious Mr. Coleman. NNR totally thinks the guy is an idiot... I have never heard of emorywheel though... if it is big NNR takes back his 20 hits comment
Anyone notice how none of the kids from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were even a little bit cool... Where was the athlete who pile drives wonka into the chocolate river??? Coulda done sooo much more with that "classic"

Silence?  Have we been silenced?  Greg Chalfin...Well, he needed feedback.  I wrote a reply to him, from the heart, with some very good points, a tad of sarcasm, and little of Emiril's special spice...BAM!!!  I got denied.  They can write whatever they want on their website, but we can't reply with what we feel is a justifiable means of criticism?

As far as the LLPP plug by the son of Dick Jaspers, I thought it was brilliant.  It was loaded with sarcasm, never mentioned d3football.com, and also had some good insight.  Honestly, I wouldn't worry about our 'inside jokes' making d3 look 'stupid'.  If anything, we make d3 look good.  None of us are posting from our jail cells, most of us have a brain in our head, and amazingly enough, the majority of us are successful.

Athletic ability, a brain, successful careers, ridiculous good looks, and amazing peronsalities with a nose for quick witted humour?  Sounds like we are a bunch of well-rounded good people to me.

And lastly, to put this whole scenario into perspective...

Pat, if I write a subjective piece on how much I think John Audino is the biggest scumbag in division 3 football, solely based on my opinions and MY experiences, would you post it out on the main page?

I thought not...Maybe a lesson to be learned at the Emory Wheel.  For all care, they can take our criticism and wash it down with a shot glass of drano.

In order to cut the tension and bring back the LLPP flava, Gro shoots out this topic.

Ahhh middle school, it was a strange time. You really are stuck in the middle... not in grade school anymore, and not in high school. You have classes in periods instead of staying in Mrs. Reeves room 90% of the time. Recess still exists... and that's where Gro wants to dig deeper.

1 sport ruled in 19naughty2... 4 square. Anyone remember that? That game came out of nowhere and caught fire. Some kids were so good you didn't even want to play you'd have to go to the other side of the gym in the "minor leagues". any comments about 4 square or recess in general would be appreciated.

The only JT likes about Rocky V was the end fight outside the bar.  JT was in college at the time.  He was an extra in the crowd for the fight.  For a millisecond you can JT's lean 175lb frame.  Now JT fights to get back down to two bills.

Craft service and $100... got Burt Young's autograph.... not bad for a whim.

Are you serious? That's cool. You got to be a part of cinematic history.

'Gro and I were giving the 'shocker' symbol on MTV's
'Fashionably Loud' during Spring Break 2000(SB2K).  There we were, no sleep in days, up to our nipples in water, Dre, Exibit, Slim Shady, all on stage telling us that 'nuthin come out when they move their lips, just a bunch of gibberish'.  No offense, but that trumps being an extra in Rocky V.

'Gro, this game that spoeak of...Might it go by an alias such as 'boxball'?

LD

you got 4 squares on the floor, one person in each, and a kickball type ball. ball lands in your square you gotta hit it back to any other square or you're out. no spinning!!

there was also a game called "rochester" which was a everyone for themselves version of basketball, anyone know that one?
