Haha! Eric Ren should have followed in his father's footsteps at AU! But it sure made for some interesting Saxon-Engineer matchups.

I've been reading all the posts concerning Union/Hobart by you pumkinheads this week. Why?...because as the great Charlie Harper once said "it amuses me." Ive seen the excuses. Lurker Eva asking how the Statesmen will respond to "being the hunter not the hunted."...Oline 89 saying the "D is lost", "does not work" and hoping they're "healed."...Bartman picking Union and then saying "I hope I'm wrong" because " stopping Union is problematic." and  the "talent level isn't good enough" while wishing the Statesmen could "bring back Tyre Colemen" and "hold Union to 28." How about Union "has not played a team with our talent at QB and WR." I think they have everyday in practice! And how about Union's "non league schedule' well we beat the best of New England. You guys didn't.  Even the learned JB says Union's better "on paper".
Then there's the distractions. What do you think about the name of our field? or how's the Lax program? or how the Yanks are going to do.  ???  One guy who's part right is RPI guy Jonny Utah who says "I think Union is the better football team" as he inexplicably joins Mach to pick a Hobart victory. Genius. ::)
Here in Garnet Nation there's no need for excuses or distractions. We are thrilled at the way our football team is playing. If you want to see D1 talent look at Andre Ross Jr. or teamwork, watch the Union defense. Come Saturday when we're likely to see "balls in the air" it will probably be a long TD pass Bellamy to Beal. Last year a (worse) Union team got out to an early lead and held off a (better) Hobart. This week look for Union to strike early and sustain the pressure. You know I kind of like Bartman's prediction so I'll also go Union 28-21. Maybe I'll even have a beer!

Hey Ufan your post made me think(+k for the inspiration), and  I have changed my mind. I watched the run through of the triple secret practice and there is going to be some real good **** that DeWall has devised for the game that will make the Dutchmen spin around in those funny wooden shoes....  Hobart is super healthy and Deveney, our LT ,will channel his inner Marpet and lead our offensive line to new heights inspired by Ali's pre game speech....The Dutchmen will fight valiantly to regain respect at the BOZ, but the Statesmen ghosts will smile as Hackett splits the uprights with the game winning FG as time runs out  for the 31-28 win.
I feel better now, I'd much rather be a total homer for tomorrow  ;D.

If there's a vote for 'Douchiest Post of the Year' at year's end, this one is my front runner thus far. Well done.

And yea, I didn't go to RPI.   I actually played football at IC in the 1990s.  RPI didn't even have a football team then.
So Mach, me posting about pumpkinhead dribble buzzes your "douche" meter?  Thanks, it took considerable effort...and Utah, sorry I mistook you for an RPI dweeb. Personally I do not hide behind a fake name. My name is Bill and not surprisingly I'm a proud Union fan.

And also a front runner.  Multiple posters from Hobart side for years when they shredded the league and none acted like this.

Demanding video evidence from the 90s and calling out people on a blog board to use their real names.  What are you six?

Not just my regular 'douche' meter, William, but my 'super douche' meter. Ding ding ding ding. We have a winner!!! But hey, on the bright side, we all now know that UFanBlll wasn't some brilliant ruse to throw everyone off of your scent of finding out your real name was Herman.

Good luck to the douchey Dutchman today. Don't put out any paper bags lit on fire with your boots, Bill.

Good luck to all today.  Even Bill.  He clearly cannot afford another "L" in his life.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

@Bill, weren't you one of the conspiracy theorists piggy backing on Frank's ridiculous claims that the Union Administration and their policies and 'financial aid' allotments made it impossible for the football program to succeed? Wasn't it all the AD's fault?  How is the new coach doing this against such odds? Are they just on a real luck streak? Are all of their opponents rolling over for reparations of recent years? Is he a wizard? Was there a complete change in Administrative policies? Or was Frank entirely full of sh!t and the rest of you bandwagon jumpers decided to grab your pitchforks, follow his crusade to the promise land, but suddenly hush up when you realized they just needed a regime change? Surely if Frank's claims were true, Union is  unfairly being robbed of Mt Union like potential. I'd like for you to continue your fight against the AD and Administration. Don't give up now because of a couple Ws. Don't lose your passion. Fight for what is right!!! Keep your eye on the ball.

Before we open play in the Liberty League, Bartman would like to acknowledge Kai Branford who will not only be kicking some Dutchmen a**  today, but kicks a** everyday in the classroom :

Brandford named semifinalist for Campbell Trophy
IRVING, Texas—The National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame announced today that Hobart College senior free safety Kai Brandford is a semifinalist for the 2018 William V. Campbell Trophy. He is the only semifinalist from the Liberty League, one of 41 from across Division III and one of 179 total semifinalists for college football's top scholar-athlete award.

To-****ing-day:

Union at Hobart - Tough game to call. U comes in hotter than a fire lit **** filled paper bag slowly dripping down Mach's front door, albeit not having been tested by top notch competition yet. Today they get tested by a supposedly born again Hobart team after the Endicott loss (see the baptism highlights on YouTube with the entire team naked in Seneca Lake with Bartman pouring water over there heads with a hallowed out pumpkin). Game is close but Union receivers too much in the end.
U wins 28-17

RPI at Ithaca - SAJ and her body guards head out to the Sarengeti to face off with the Bombers. RPI still can't pull their head out from their ass and play to their potential. Especially in grass up to their waist. Nabi does enough behind center and the tough D is too complex of a formula for SAJ to figure out. RPI just ****ing blows as always
IC 24-13

SLU at U of R - - YellowJacket hive is more like a ****ing pill bug home then a hive...for now. SLU rolls 34-10

I'm not sure he was one of those Audino backers, but he did say that Union "should have won the game" one year when Ithaca beat them.  Anyone who says something like that is always questionable in anything they say about the team they root for.  I kind of ignore anything someone says after saying something like that, especially in the game he was referencing.

ITH radio

Nice to see Brandford get recognized, especially the one player in a conference full of top schools / student athletes. He'll need to bring it today for sure.

I like seeing Hobart's going to play a 4 DL front finally and 3 new starters on up front to shake things up. Hoping it'll fire up the Statesmen and get the other guys in the rotation ready to re-prove themselves.

Should be a great one. Go Bart!
