Cortaca Jug to MetLife Stadium in 2019 with a goal of breaking the 37k+ from Tommie-Johnnie last year.
What's normal attendance for Cortaca on campus? Around 10k? And MetLife is 3.5 hours away from each campus? This should be an interesting spectacle.

Hmmm, interesting, Cortaca would get more fans than the Giants do these days :'(

It is capped at 10k when Ithaca hosts, I want to say its capped at 8k when Cortland hosts.  Back when they were a little more relaxed on safety, my understanding is the game would get 12 to 13 thousand.

I think it's great, I just kinda wish it hadn't been in an Ithaca home year. Anybody know if the 2020 game will be at Cortland as usual, or perhaps '20 at Butterfield, Cortland in '21 and so forth? (Reversing the CORT-even/IC-odd schedule).

I didn't see anything directly on this, but if they handle it like St. John's and St. Thomas handled their trip to Target Field last year, it will stick to the usual schedule, so it just means this game moves from Butterfield.

I think this may have already been noted here but Ithaca-John Carroll in 2020.

John Carroll has officially listed all non conference games up to 2024 on their website:
19-hosting UW Stevens Point
20-One and done at Ithaca
21-22-Home and home with Washington and Jefferson
23-24-Home and home with UW Whitewater
Kind of a difficult slate! I also think someone in the athletic department must have tried some New Glarus during the 16 playoff run, and is coming up with any reason to return to Wisconsin!

Interesting because the way it had been reported, it was going to be a one and one deal for 2020 and 2021.  Kind of wonder what changed.

Yea it will be interesting.  I got out of Ithaca in 1997 and probably went to about 5 or 6 jugs games after that, and I haven't been to one in 13 years or so.  I plan on going to this one and pretty much all my teamates from the 1990s teams will be going too from what I'm hearing on social media (I'm also in Boston).  Not sure how many non-players will go who live in the NYC area but I'm guessing a few thousand at least.  I have trouble seeing them get more than 25 thousand, but who knows.

Since the attendance is capped at the home games, I'm guessing more students will be able to actually go to this one, so the "distance from campus" probably won't matter for this one game.

One thing about this game is that most alumni do not live in the Ithaca/Cortland area after graduating, so that might help attendance.

Congratulations to the RPI Engineers for winning the 2018 LL title . The had to earn it against a feisty SLU squad.

Congratulations also to the Ithaca Bombers on their 10-3 win over Hobart today. Both defenses came to play and Ithaca's hung on in the second half. Hobart had a couple of tough calls against them, but no complaints as the Bombers deserved the win. Hobart has a young team and this loss as well as the RPI loss will motivate them to improve next year. With the steady improvement in a young defense over the season(McCarthy was the best defensive player on the field today, IMO,  and Leake did a great job covering Gladney), as well as the young offensive line , the development of Hofmann and Krewson at QB , the quality improvement at WR and  the return of Dakota Harvey next year will all add to optimism for next year

I wouldn't put too much stock in Harvey for next year as I believe he is no longer on the team.

There is a long story behind Harvey.  He is still in school, he was at the game.  Hopefully, he and the coaches can figure everything out.  He is a good kid, unbelievable talent (would have been an MVP candidate if he could have been on the field). He really has a chance to be successful on and off the field.  I hope it all works out for him, school and student athlete would both benefit.

Is he ok?

It's Time!...The college football game pitting Union against RPI has been played since 1886! The "Dutchman Shoes" trophy was introduced in 1950. This will be the 69th edition of the "Shoes" game. Historically Union has dominated but not recently. With the decline of Union football came a winning streak for the Engineers. Union last beat RPI in 2012 in OT.
That will end this week...The Union Dutchmen have a deep and talented team. They have some outstanding first year and sophomore players but they also have some frustrated upperclassmen. Players like LL 1st team LB Jack Reilly, who's ready to lead the Union defense Saturday. It's time for Union to take one more step back to D3 football prominence by winning back the shoes.

I picked the Dutchmen.....a heartbreaker for RPI undefeated regular season.....but they haven't exactly been dominating people this year. Good luck.

Alas, Tags recalls when third party was used in the LL.

Hope everyone is well from the old (and new) days.

Well thanks to Frostburg State somehow pulling that win off against Salisbury (I watched the 4th quarter and OT, I have no clue how), Ithaca, barring some weird stacking by the regional committee, will be the top Pool C candidate in the East.

I'm not saying its likely, I don't think it is, but the chance is still on the table.

I think they desreve it, and might surprise a team or two, but Muhlenberg winning by 50 and having only one loss, will likely make it in over the Bombers.
