+k , and about time for a Texas entry, especially a coach with a number of top 20 rankings at Baylor plus a distinguished executive career, I'm sure there are plenty more candidates from Texas

Hello LL fans. Buffalo State is excited about coming over to your league.  With a new head coach, and over 80% of the team coming back, those who are close to Bengals athletics have reasons to be encouraged. Not sure how many wins that equals.  But we're encouraged!

Had a good talk with Coach O a few weeks ago. They do feel like last season was the exception given their overall track record (they did beat RPI just a cpl seasons ago). Definitely adds an interesting wrinkle into league play.

Pep attended the Kensington Lions Club All-Star Football Game Wednesday night and was impressed with number of local athletes who are going on to play at Buffalo State. Some good ones! Pep thinks the Bengals are moving in the right direction. Sorry that Bengals and Saxons won't meet on the gridiron this season, but perhaps in the near future.

Pep, I'm gonna miss our conversations at Coyer Field (in the rain).

Saxons seemed to play well at Coyer Field. Some amazing games there. Never forget the week after the Bengals knocked off the reigning champion Whitewater Warhawks, in the Bengals E8 debut at Coyer Field, AU's starting tailback broke his leg in the first half and was replaced in the second half by backup (and until then unheard of) Chuck Beckwith who was unstoppable from the wildcat formation.

And we've had several games played there in the rain, indeed. Just checked AU's schedules through 2021 and Pep doesn't see the Bengals on board. AU picked up Mt. St. Joseph out of Cincinnati, OH for a home-and-away series 2020-2021 and is adding Hobart in 2021, replacing Rochester as a non-conference game.

Hoping the Bengals turn the corner and make some noise in the Liberty League!

Coach O(Ozolins) definitely has the pulse of the team. He's a younger version of Coach Boyce and has been around the team for 16 years so he knows the ins and outs. Folks are excited at 1300 Elmwood!

Pep he's also a graduate (masters) of AU

With football season quickly approaching this is my first post in months. It will be great to have Buffalo State in the LL as it allows the LL to keep their AQ and all schools to have a full 10 game schedule. Union has 6 home games this season after only 4 the past two seasons, so I'm psyched. One of the Dutchman's road games is a first ever meeting with the Bengals on 10/26. Union is returning many key players and has a stellar recruiting class so LET'S GO DUTCHMEN !!! The Liberty League race should be amazing. 8-)

Very excited about the upcoming season. The LL race will be a great one. Dlip is certainly looking forward to the addition of a Buffalo State to the LL.

I dunno about the new Hobart logo. The old one was kinda hokey and cartoony but it felt right for a small college. Plus the dude looked like a clean shaven Carter Pewterschmidt from Family Guy. The new logo looks like it wants to sell me life insurance. Also why is its face orange? Unsettling.

The William Smith logo is a big upgrade though. A much better avian representation than the new Wesleyan Extremely Angry Bird logo.

Agree that the Heron is a nice image. I will miss Bart as he had a personality while the new image is a bit corporate and we may need to rename him Bartholomae as he is too stylish just to be named Bart . Remaining Statesmen is important at least. Back in the seventies there was a move to become the Hobart Hawks(matching birds), but that was short-lived due to the anti war movement and considered too bellicose for the college that was the SDS protest headquarters for Western NY. Go Bartholomae!
