I'm all for Ice Bear/DLIP getting his fish but we saw this last year.  Wake us when the team wins two games against solid opponents.

Ice Bear

Ice Bear congratulates Hobart and Union on their W's today. Ice Bear feels for RPI. Ice Bear says that was a tough hard fought rivalry game out in almost Boston.Ice Bear believes WPI looked good and may be one of the top 2-3 teams in NE this season. RPI will regroup.

Ice Bear is very happy with his Dutchmen. Ice Bear remembers all to well when we may have lost to Anna Maria. Ice Bear feels while the winning is great we won't know much about this team in relation to the top 4 in the LL until 10/5.

Ice Bear is also is happy Salisbury held on and Alfred pulled it out. Ice Bear watched the former D1 transfer school Rowan play a solid Linfield team somewhat tough.

Ice Bear's ER top ten will have lots of movement as both Wesley and Del Val didn't impress Ice Bear at all during regulation.
A long time fan of DIII Football!

Hey MACH remember this...Which Top 25 team is going to lose this week?...You made fun of D3.com'er Ryan Tipps prediction that RPI would lose... Ryan's take: No. 19 RPI. Two teams on different trajectories: RPI graduated a huge number of starters, and Allegheny (insert WPI) has lots coming back to upset the Engineer apple cart.

I'd say maybe a little KARMA at it's best.  ;D

Dude, 2 drastically different opponents. WPI is pretty good. Ya know what though? I've been trying to get the RPI AD to schedule Anna Maria for years. Too bad. Huge win for you guys. Go celebrate. Just don't break your old as sh!t hip.

Terd.

So you can dish it out but not take it. That figures. I liked you better a little when you were apologizing to everyone last week.  Another thing you should remember. It was RPI that was scheduling the Beckers and Mt. Idas not that very long ago.  ;D  Oh and my hip does still hurt a little from celebrating last year's Shoes game. Thanks for the concern.

You think I was apologizing for real last week? You really are just a clueless crusty old man. For the record RPI has never played Becker or Mt. Ida. You better get off your computer, the Senior Discount Early Bird Special at Denny's ends in 20 minutes. #StillBillToo

Geesh.  In all this battle of the snowflakes banter you guys are losing sight of what matters: RPI lost. To Wusster.  The world is a better place than it was yesterday.

I watched portions of the Wesley-De Val game and I agree with IB that these 2 teams are not up to their very competitive standards from my observation. Hobart played a very strong Mville team today that had an excellent passing game and played very hard . I think their issue is depth as Hobart just wore them down in the second half. I was glad to see Brockport rebound today and pitch a shutout, as their defense is strong. After seeing Mville and Brockport, I think they will have a very competitive game and the E8 should be wide open. Hobart improved their ground game today and also had an awesome 75 yard reverse with Mathews speeding down the sidelines(Mville stat man only gave Mathews 25 yards in the TD run, so I guess this will be corrected).  The pass defense was vulnerable today, so lots of work to do before playing Union and Ithaca later in the year. Looking forward to Rowan followed by Montclair ST at the Boz the next 2 weeks. No Anna Maria for the Statesmen.

So per what Ice Bear and Bart said, I watched a good amount of Del Val/Wesley, in addition to RPI/WPI, and I thought the same about the competition. The DelVal/Wesley game was almost identical to RPI/WPI being 3-3 down to the wire. Struggling offenses. Good defenses. Good athletes all around. But I couldn't tell a huge difference between the teams. Wesley has a few guys who can motor, maybe that was the only difference but that's pretty much expected, they are always fast. I thought DVC was a little better than Wesley actually, but gave it away st the end.I  don't think the 4 teams are that far apart, but of course that is subjective to streaming games over the Internet.

Wesley fan here... I think Wesley's deficiencies stemmed from the QB position today. Neither guy looked like the right answer. Makes the team speed negligible when you cant get the ball to your skill guys.

Statesmen looked strong yesterday, although some big breakdowns in the defensive backfield, couple of dropped passes in the end zone, missed field goal.  So room for improvement in all 3 phases.  MVille is much better than last year, #9 is a great receiver, he will do some damage this year.
Regarding the rest of the league, RPI losing to WPI: 35 seniors for WPI sure seems reminiscent of last year's RPI squad.  No worries, Mach, Anna Maria in two weeks-plenty of time to get tuned up for that classic.  I am sure the Dutchmen will be happy to share game film.

What happened to the offenses in the East this week?
No TD's by RPI, WPI, Del Val or Wesley in regulation?
Brockport sure remains a mystery.  They scored both touchdowns by Pic 6's, offense is absolutely dead without their QB.

Hey OLine, surprised we haven't seen Joe Powers (looked like a top to class recruit out of W Y), Jos Cremers (huge kid, orig committed to UMass), Vito visconti (thick ILB)or maybe Michael OGrady (chamonade is usually the top sports proifram other than maybe St anthonys on LI)

Cremers changed positions (to DL), then got injured.  Powers looked great in preseason, but there are 3 other DT's ahead of him. We are also very deep at ILB, so tough for Visconti to break in this year.  It's a long year, we will see what happens.....

I'm listening to the DVC/Wesley game and they just made mention of a d2 transfer on their team. What an embarrassment to Delaware Valley College accepting and playing a transfer student. Horrible, horrible, horrible. They should be ashamed.

Yeah, but I heard they are being monsters and making the kid be an actual student there.  Poor guy might even end up with a DVC degree, for chrissakes.

Ice Bear is curious if the Aggies even suggest he finish one academic semester?

I'll get my pitchfork. I'm headed to Delaware.

I've always thought that "talk-in-the-third-person-Ice Bear" and "Mach" were clowns......................but this stream crystallizes it. You can't teach class to the downtrodden. The D2 transfer you mention moved to be much closer to home. His mother is battling a nasty stage four cancer of the esophagus. But don't let the facts get in the way of a low life rant between two loser posters on the board. Continue with your miserable lives...................and I hope karma bites your.................

Context bro.

OLine, I hear you on Visconti and assume that's why hanley isn't on the team as well but then we saw Kimbrough a bit last sat.

Nah johnson is also injured no?  And don't think boone played sat either.  Seems to be mostly Crobok and Montissol.
