Ice Bear

#56250
Week 2

Ithaca - 24
Endicott - 17

I think this could go either way...but it won't because of Butterfield where I'm guessing the Bomber administration added at least three inches to the turf they installed a year or two ago.

RM - 28
Hobart - 10

Hobart will compete early but by the end of the the first quarter RMC will take full control. IMHO this game is a great opportunity for the Pumkinhead D to show they can keep this team competitive throughout the year.

Maritime - 10
Union - 32

Union will gain some confidence this week and have the chance to get some confusion sorted out on defense (they better). The Oline will have an easier week to come together and show they may be able to do enough to keep this team competitive, keep their new QB breathing, and not waste the season of TWO 1,000 yard rushers. The game will also be a tad slower for my boy Patch behind center. Honestly, I just can't wait to watch a Union Football game on a beautiful evening with my father like we've been doing for decades.

RPI - 21
Wilkes - 17

I believe RPI is the better team throughout but has some trouble on O. Wilkes will keep fighting and score some late points. While the score is close I don't think this one is ever in doubt.

UR - 45
Alfred st - 6

Rochester has improved. They are certainly not world beaters but good enough to have their way with Alfred St.

SLU -6
Norwich - 17

I just want SLU to be good again...they are not.

Buff St - 59
Hilbert - 0

Gonna be a copycat here because I have no idea about numbers with this one. This will be good for Buffalo State to have a dominating win.

LL went 2-5 last week and Bartman went 5-0 after missing the early games. This week the LL will reveal itself a little more and have a better week.

RPI       24.   @ Wilkes.   10.   The Engineers get on track against a decent foe

Larries   20.   @ Norwich. 21.   The Cadets surprise the Larries by stuffing a 2 Pt conversion

Hilbert.   3.   @ Buff St.  48.   The Bengals claw Dilbert to pieces

Hobart.   14.   @ Ran-Macon 31    Hobart Offense can run but Defense gives up big passing yards

Maritime. 10.   @ Union.    35    Union has no problem with the seafarers

Endicott. 24.   @ Ithaca.   21.   Classic battle as Gulls love Cayuga Lake view

Rochester 28.   @ Alfred St 10.   Yellowjackets go 2-0 as expected

Don't sweat the sh*t talk from the posters here.  I'm well used to seeing similar comments, it is what it is.  All we can do is hope our teams put together consistent results.

1. I hate how soft everyone has gotten. Grow a set and laugh a little.

2. Wilkes charges to watch their home games? They should be embarrassed. Total joke.

I can't stand that FloTV. I agree Mach. I was not happy when I saw that. Garbage. Glad to see RPI handling business though. 32 points is a good sign for the O.

Congrats to RPI on the win although Wilkes was pretty pesky .I refused to pay for the video, but the online play by play was totally screwed up. Not impressed with Wilkes SI group.

Congrats to the Saints for getting a nice 20-9 road win against the Cadets in Vermont.Apologies for not picking you.

LL ups their OOC record to 4-5.

Late with my picks this week but trust me I had the Friday games perfect. :-*
RPI handled Wilkes easily last year and was destined to do it again. The Larries still the best team in the north country.

Randolph Macon 33 - Hobart 17...Statesmen not good enough.

Ithaca 27 - Endicott 20... Ghost of Bob Butterfield haunts the Gulls.

Buffalo St. 48 - Hilbert 6... Really who cares?

Rochester 41 - Alfred St. 17...Rochester keeps the momentum building.

Union 38 - SUNY Maritime 16...Patch patches things together to ease Jon Drach's pain.

Glad to hear how bad Flo is as I refused to pay for video. Did not like the Flo options and policies. Giving these people access to my credit card or the accompanying information gave me the willies.

Instead of allowing you to pay for a single event, they want you to pay up front for an entire month (about $15).
Then it is YOU who have to go through a bunch of gyrations to cancel before the month expires or they will automatically charge your card for a second month. They require you to agree to that. Not on my watch!!!

As a safety valve, I did briefly consider checking with my credit card company to see if they would only allow a charge from Flo on or about 9/13 but then reject any charges from Flo after that date (in case their online only cancellation procedures has "unforeseeable glitches"). However, if you even consider that, it means you simply don't know or trust this outfit well enough to give them personal information.

Thank you for telling me I did not end up spending money on a product that sucked anyway. Please follow up a month of so from now and tell us if the refund policy is legit or "problematic" (if you cancel).

A college trying to make a few bucks on D3 Sports makes no sense to me. HWS provides free video with decent "homer" announcer for football, soccer, ice hockey, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse and baseball...and does not even charge for entrance to any sporting event (except for NCAA tournaments), not even the women's bowling team ;D

Like it or not, I expect to see more D3 conferences adopting the subscription model to watch games. Last year, the Landmark conference was the first D3 conference to go with FloSports.  When Wilkes joined the conference, they knew FloSports was part of it.  Since then, it looks like FloSports has signed up three more D3 conferences, although the terms and conditions may not be the same across all conferences.  It's not just football, but other sports as well.

I have no idea what the business model is for FloSports, or if it is sustainable.  But they now have signed four D3 conferences in a little over a year. They also seem to have some D2 conferences, "minor sports" in some D1 conferences, and some minor league professional sports.

Here are a few links:

If you do a search, there are a few reddit threads that beat the xxxx out of it.

The FloSports thing is ridiculous. $27,000 per year per school is nothing. Absolute nonsense

Hobart , so far , is going toe to toe with the Yellowjackets , 0-0 end of first quarter.
