Not much going in the early days of the offseason, but some pretty significant news for SLU football with the announcement of a $1.5 million gift to endow the head coaching position. https://saintsathletics.com/news/2025/1/28/major-gift-endows-st-lawrence-university-head-football-coach-position-in-memory-of-steve-munn-64.aspx

Uncertain times for the long term financial stability of d3 schools so this is a very good development for SLU athletics.  Should hopefully start paying some dividends now that Puck has security and resources to take the program to the next step.

Schedules are out. Just over six months to opening for Hobart against Alfred on 9/5 followed by games against Brockport and Utica, all tough games to prepare for opener against the Bombers in Ithaca.

Thanks for the heads-up on schedules Bartman. I just checked and Union's 2025 is up too on their football homepage https://unionathletics.com/sports/football/schedule

As I mentioned last fall, it's true...Union opens at Susquehanna on Sept 6th and follows that up at Cortland on Sept 13th. :o  It can't get much tougher than that. Unfortunately with the addition of Hilbert to the Liberty League and the reciprocal 2 game LL/E8 agreement, Springfield is not on the 2025 schedule. The Garnet host Morrisville in Week #3.

Does anyone know if there have been any FBS or FCS transfers into any of the LL teams? I feel like there are usually a few in any given offseason which I always find interesting. Curious if anyone is up to speed on this.
